The Survivalist’s Odds ‘n Sods:

SurvivalBlog presents another edition of The Survivalist’s Odds ‘n Sods— a collection of news bits and pieces that are relevant to the modern survivalist and prepper from “HJL”.

South African Farm Murders

South Africa has an increasing incidents of white farmers being murdered. The government is classifying them as “robberies gone wrong”, but Lauren Southern investigates and asks how you can accidentally rape for days, accidentally torture an entire family, accidentally cut someone’s eyes out? The crimes are taking on a far more brutal nature than crimes in most of the world. In this video, Lauren interviews a crime scene cleaner, but is unable to get answers to many questions because of confidentiality rules the cleaner has in working with the government. This is what TEOTWAWKI looks like when the government sanctions and hides the racist behavior. (Warning: Some graphic images)

Destruction by Debt

Reader G.P. sent in this video from Greg Hunter interviewing Nomi Prins who talks about how debt will be the ultimate destructor of the global system. Global debt levels are at their all time historic highs. Central bankers have rigged the world economic system and are plundering your productivity. The top three central banks hold 14 trillion in assets with a total of about 21 trillion assets in all central banks. They are the primary buyers of bonds, inflating the assets and fabricating money.

Influenza

The CDC says this is the worst flu season since the 2009 swine flu pandemic and that it’s intensity is still increasing. Hospitalizations related to the flu are also on the rise and flu related activities have stayed at these elevated levels for about three weeks now. Basically, in the words of the CDC, the entire country has stayed lit up consistently for three weeks. In the past, only some geographic areas would get active at any one time. Now it’s the whole country. Schools in at least 11 states have actually closed in an attempt to bring the contagion under control. Thanks to G.P. for the links.

Corruption

A Florida Democrat has been removed from office and faces corruption charges following an FBI sting operation. Gov. Rick Scott issued an executive order suspending Joy Cooper (mayor of Hallandale Beach, a city just north of Miami.) She is charged with money laundering, official misconduct and exceeding campaign contribution limits. Court documents show that her agent was given a Dunkin’ Donuts bag filled with $8000 cash. The agent expressed to the FBI that he had influence with the city commission and had the vote of the mayor. Previously, the FBI had taped Cooper and Koslow several times where Cooper is said she could ensure favorable results for their project. Note to self: never accept money in a paper bag. Thanks to T.J. for the link.

Libtards Destroy, then Flee

Reader D.B. sent in this video from the Alex Jones channel where the guests talk about the propensity of Democrats taking control of an area, implementing policies that basically destroy everything good about the area and turning it into the a s***hole state, then fleeing the state to one that works. They then start the whole process over again. I like Alex’s question: “Have the Democrats always been this evil or is this something new?”

Google Home Still Can’t Define Jesus

Showing the absolute bias that people allow into their homes, reader D.B. sent in this article/video on how Google’s Home Assistant refused to define Jesus, but happily defined Muhammad and Buddha. Alexa, at least, has modified their response to recite the Wikipedia page on Jesus. I’m still not sure why this suprisizes us though. For years, we have sent our children into even worse education situations through the state run indoctrination centers public schools and they teach basically the same things.

Please send your news tips to HJL. (Either via e-mail of via our Contact form.) These are often especially relevant, because they come from folks who watch news that is important to them. Due to their diligence and focus, we benefit from fresh “on target” news. We often “get the scoop” on news that is most likely ignored (or reported late) by mainstream American news outlets. Thanks!

  1. Had the opportunity to talk to a gentleman from South Africa last month. He is in the states attached to a university teaching and researching for about a year now. I asked him point blank if genocide of the white farmers was happening in SA. He said; “Yes, it’s bad, very bad.” I asked him if he thought it would spread to generally white genocide, he said; “It’s bad, very bad.” That’s all he could say. He couldn’t even bring himself to characterize or describe it in detail. Clearly, he was upset.

  2. My wife and I and a hunting buddy have spent 3 months over several trips hunting in South Africa, in the last 10 years.

The stories of what is happening to white So. Africans in the rural areas of the country are scary. We’ve traveled throughout the country and our outfitter was always acutely aware of the security situation. Before we left camp we discussed various security scenarios and our intended responses. They were always armed.

Our outfitter travels extensively in the US visiting prospective clients and arranging bookings. He was/is very outspoken about the political and racial tensions he sees in the US and how the mirror similar trends in recent South African history. He has a very dire warning and caution for all of his US clients.

  3. “Destruction by debt”? Another title might be “Alas,Babylon,” but that’s already been taken. However, isn’t this a setup for Revelation 18?

  4. RE: South African Farm Murders

From a historical perspective of what can happen, (Warning: Some Graphic Content)

    The Stanleyville Massacre
    https://www.sofmag.com/the-stanleyville-massacre/

“Fifty years ago, Stanleyville in the Congo was the scene of one of the most savage crimes of the last century, the cold-blooded massacre of hostages by the Simba rebels.

Mercenary soldiers from 5 Commando under the leadership of Lt Colonel Mike Hoare, probably the most famous merc officer since World War 2, had been unable to prevent the tragedy. But in the days to come, they saved hundreds of hostages from a tortured death, and helped restore peace to that troubled land … “.

In a nutshell, initially 5 Commando came into the Congo and things settled down, then the UN forces “replaced” 5 Commando and FUBAR, then 5 Commando had to come back to fix matters. Unfortunately, many were not rescued.

Also, for a glimpse into that time, see,
“Katanga The Untold Story (Of U.N. Betrayal)”, movie.

“Africa Addio” is a mixed bag 1966 Italian documentary about the end of the colonial era in Africa.

And, on how to handle a situation, “The Battle of Algiers” movie.

  5. I would like to see a debate on national TV comparing the Democrats ideas versus Republicans.I wish Libertarians could be included. I just don’t see what everyone likes about the Democrats.I find their thinking strange and Anti-American. Any site I go to where Democrats post they are very angry and post hate.
