Thank you for the good information on donkeys. I have never been around donkeys, however enjoyed having horses when my children were young. Now my 10 year old grand daughter is asking me to get a horse for her, but she lives 100 miles away. I told her horses are a lot of work and she would be to far away to help take care them except during the summer months when she’s not in school. I would consider a donkey to have around when the grand children come to visit. It seems they can be kid friendly and I would enjoy using the donkey myself for a pack animal, pulling a cart or small wagon and possible having the grand children ride it. The donkey seems to be a easy keeper, friendly and versatile animal. I’d appreciate your comments.
