The Editors’ Quote of the Day

“There’s an ugly, unavoidable reckoning building. The cynic in me says however remote you are, or self-sufficient you are, however well-appointed your hidey-hole, however much ammo you have, however deep your deep larder, however much training and comms and meds you have, it probably ain’t enough for what’s coming.”  – Blogger Ol’ Remus, in his Yer Ol’ Woodpile Report

  1. The end of the world as we know it… it’s called Death. Only submission/surrender to God’s absolute authority (repentence)and trust in the finished work of Christ will provide ultimate survival.

  2. Who in hell do we think we are? What gives the U.S. the moral authority to determine what weapons other nations can and cannot have for their own defense, or choose the rulers of sovereign nations? We dropped 26,171 bombs on 7 nations in 2016 alone. What did they do to us? We-the-People are no better. We sit at our keyboards and play ‘Rule the World’ as if it is fantasy football. No harm to us, we have no skin in the game. ‘Nuke-em!’ After all we are Americans and might makes right. America now has two generations that know of nothing but perpetual war. What happened to the America that believed in the ‘Golden Rule’? (Matthew 7:12)

The ‘supreme crime’ of international law is the Crime of Aggression. Pastor Chuck Baldwin is correct. America is the greatest international criminal in the world. Chuck Baldwin – you know, he is the guy you should have voted for President but you voted John McCain instead. Of course, McCain had an ‘R’ after his name.

America abandoned God. And we wonder why America is bleeding out?

‘Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.’ Proverbs 16:18

    1. I’m not particularly religious, but this is the last time I ever vote Rep. or Dem.

I want a President who takes the heat off of Edward Snowden and Julian Assange, for starters.

  3. I’ve been a regular reader of Ol’ Remus for years. He posts every Tuesday. He actually notified his readers some time ago that he was discontinuing his site but he just couldn’t stay away. Glad he made the choice to come back.

  4. Eventually, all our preps, planning and evasions fail, and we die. Either from natural causes or helped along by violent conditions during the Big Change. Dead. Since we can’t evade it forever, or even 100 yrs, my preps and planning etc. are with an eye towards my progeny and their progeny, and so on. Besides, when I’m dead, my troubles are over. So relax, have that second cup of coffee, and think about what you’re doing.

  5. Here is a truth you can take to the grave – and beyond. Every person on this planet will have to deal with Jesus Christ. And to put it at its most basic, we will have only two ways to do this. He will either be our Lord and Saviour, or he will be our judge and opponent. To put it another way, every single one of us will bow the knee to Jesus Christ. The only question is, will we bow it willingly and gladly, or will we be forced to bow our knee, while still in ugly defiance and rebellion against the one true God of the universe?

These are our only options – there are no others.Read Rev 14- This is no Jesus meek and mild. This is no Jesus my good buddy. This is no Jesus the celestial servant who exists merely to do our every bidding and be our “free gift giver” [ riches etc] This is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords executing judgment on all those who have refused to bow the knee.

James Hamilton puts it this way –

” Revelation 15, 16 depicts the outpouring of God’s wrath in the seven final bowls of his judgment, and then chapters 17, 18 show the fall of Babylon. John is giving us a carefully selected collage of images. These images of the harvest of the earth in 14:14–20, of the outpouring of the final bowls of wrath in chapters 15, 16, and the fall of Babylon in chapters 17, 18 all depict the same thing. They all depict the events of the end of history. This harvest pertains to people and to what people have done.”

Jesus suffered in our place that we do not need to face any more judgment. But for those who refuse this gracious offer will still indeed face the wrath of God. So the choice is fully ours. Cast yourself on the mercy of Christ, since he has drunk the cup of God’s wrath, or face that cup yourself. You of course can choose to ignore this, however events are coming to the Earth that are beyond our comprehension or belief. I rest easy knowing I made my wise choice.

We all must make this choice. Choose wisely.

  6. – Such is the nature of evil. Out there in the vast ignorance of the world it festers and spreads. A shadow that grows in the dark. A sleepless malice as black as the oncoming wall of night. So it ever was. So will it always be. In time all foul things come forth.
