   No. I watched and learned about the case measurement, I was unaware of this feature. We can all learn something from the simplest of minds.

5. The West Point “Marxist” is just the tip of the iceberg. As a government employee for 25 years I can assure you that the government is infested with “them” ….and you can include our schools, the media and Hollywood as their nesting place. (Ronald Reagan was at one time wooed by the communists in Hollywood ….an example of the deep roots of communism). I think it interesting that this West Pointer is merely being “investigated”. The evidence against him is clear; this not-so-swift action is indicative of the fact that Trump needs to clean out ALL of the government left leaners. In my experience, such a clean out never happens and the societal events we witness are the result.

7. 1) I am puzzled about the expressions of shock re the West Point Cadet.

   The Army has always been a communist organization — it requires you to follow orders from superiors without question, allows little to no dissent, and provides members with food, clothing, shelter and health care for free. It raises people to positions of authority by selection from the elite, not by vote of the rabble.

   2) Most of the members get the same uniform, material possessions although the small elite get special privileges. Everyone wears a uniform similar to the one imposed by Chairman Mao. Extraordinary merit,effort, skill by a member may not be rewarded any more than the commonplace effort of more relaxed members. Civil rights and liberties are limited.

   3) And none of this is a criticism of the Army — I deeply admire and respect its virtues.

   4) The largest, most powerful liberal blog in America is Daily Kos, founded by Markos “Kos” Moulitsas. Kos was a Republican precinct captain before he entered the Army but became a Democrat as a result of his service there. As Kos noted:

   “There’s a reason most vets running for office this year are running as Democrats. The military is perhaps the ideal society — we worked hard but the Army took care of us in return. All our basic needs were met — housing, food, and medical care. It was as close to a color-blind society as I have ever seen. We looked out for one another. The Army invested in us. I took heavily subsidized college courses and learned to speak German on the Army’s dime. I served with people from every corner of the country. I got to party at the Berlin Wall after it fell and explored Prague in those heady post-communism days. I wasn’t just a tourist; I was a witness to history.

   The Army taught me the very values that make us progressives — community, opportunity, and investment in people and the future. Returning to Bush Senior’s America, I was increasingly disillusioned by the selfishness, lack of community, and sense of entitlement inherent in the Republican philosophy. ”

   5) The Soviet Union was our enemy because it was a foreign power in competition, not because it was communist. And the US Communist Party was a threat because it owed allegiance to a foreign power not because of its political philosophy. And while I do not support communism, I would note that much of our common mythology re communism is deceitful claptrap put out by prostitutes for the Rich. That would be the Rich who gave the American People a break in the Sixties the Rich were terrified of the commies — but then threw the American worker away like used toilet paper once the Soviet Union collapsed.

Don, somewhat off topic, but the Army doesn’t do “communism” because it thinks its a better way to provide housing, food, clothing to soldiers, it does it because providing housing, food and clothing makes it more effective at killing enemies and breaking their things. Kos misinterpreted the reasons for Army actions. Most Americans today can’t conceive of a level of combat where Troops in Contact don’t receive everything available in support, with the largest size unit losing a fight has been a squad or platoon. My parents generation understood this due to watching the surrender of LTG Wainwright and the entire US and Philippine Army force in Bataan. My generation of soldiers understood it as well, having received orders to “defend in place” on the Fulda Gap, an order we recognized as meaning “die in place.” Did it matter to us that the Warsaw Pact and Group of Soviet Forces in Germany represented Communism? In one way, yes. Their communist doctrine meant they would never be as flexible or effective as the US Army. Had they been Fascists or Buddhists, they would still have been enemies. Cheers

   1. 1) In my opinion, one of the things that make the Army effective is loyalty. The idea that one looks out for one’s fellow soldiers and does not place personal interests above the duty owed to the Army and country.
      2) Compare that to the deep divisions within America’s civilian society — divisions largely created by prostitutes in our news media working for Rich men. Rich men who hope their “divide and conquer” propaganda will distract the voters away from WHO has been gaining an ever increasing share of the national income while dumping misery and poverty onto their fellow Americans. Rich men who demand our sons register for the draft to defend the wealth of the Rich — while the Rich put their foreign investments above what they owe to their fellow Americans and display no sign that they owe anything to the country in return. Trump being an exception.

      3) Regarding Soviet “inflexibility” , 24 million Soviets died destroying the Nazis while General Eisenhower and Kay Summersby played hide the kielbasa beside the Elbe River.
      Which may explain why US Army deaths in the WW2 European theater were only 178,135.

      4) In 1918-1919, the British Empire dragged us into invading Russia at Archangel (the Polar Bear Expedition) and at Vladivostok (the American Expeditionary Force Siberia) but we ended up having the flexibility to retreat from those invasions.

9. The underlying fact about TB is that it does not appear by magic. In 99% of these cases the source is someone from a 3rd world country and in about 80% of these cases they are here illegally and fully supported and encouraged by your local liberal politicians. This is the tip of the iceberg. We are having epidemics of diseases now that were eradicated years ago because we no longer vet immigrants for communicable diseases. This is preventable.

   1. How right you are. Though I disagree in that already many major cities have slipped into third word status. Look at Los Angeles hepatitis A epidemic. Do you have any idea how many people have to defecate on the sidewalk for something like this to happen? New York city has decriminalize public urination! As a prep you might consider getting the series of vaccines recommend when visiting the worst third world countries.

10. Years ago (and not that many) people went to West Point to become a army officer, but now they join as they want to get out of the army and go into business as soon as they can.

11. Re: Stranger Danger and the “predator” drone.

    And it’s against the law to take out that drone. Seems the government is on the side of the predators.

    I love my country, I do, but I really vehemently dislike my government. These people are not on our side regardless of political affiliation.
