1. Re: Undercover in Antifa
   1 – The MSM has abdicated its responsibilities which come with being “journalists”. One day they’ll have to face the consequences for their biased agenda.
   2 – Antifa has declared 11/4/17 the beginning of a widespread, violent push to overthrow the legally elected government. My personal belief is that the push won’t be all that big, but who knows? Be prepared.

2. A couple of comments on the NFL debacle, I personally will only watch one more game, only to list the sponsors so I can write them each a letter informing them that I value our flag and what it stands for, Far more than their products. The NFL screwed up by not terminating Kapernick immediately for violation of his contract. Now they have incurred the wrath of many their former fans. By being complacent they have given their tacit approval to this behavior and I am willing to bet you will be able to purchase a NFL franchise for a song, and most likely, not worth even that. By pandering to the politically correct, who are probably only a minority of their fans, they have sealed their fate. On the plus side, I will now have a few more hours a week to devote to my preps, and a few more dollars from not purchasing a bunch of products from their advertisers. While the Dollar has little value for purchasing, it has tremendous power for protesting. As a quick side bar on ignorance, Taking a knee has long been a sign of allegiance to a king, country, or person of authority, “My Liege”.

3. The NFL is nearly dead. The brain injury problem is increasing and parents aren’t going to risk their kids anymore. The disrespectful kneeling was the icing on the cake of their demise.

5. I agree on keeping your $$ in your own pockets not giving it to ANYONE that doesn’t love America. What bothers me is the talk now of going back to watching the waste of 3 hours of football only because they will stand and link arms. NO, I say why bother with them at all? They’ve made their statement loud and clear with the kneeling crap, the racists crap, the cops killing crap. To them I ask, “Why do you hate America?” you millionaires who are self-righteous, sanctimonious nothing but thugs. There’s not one thinking man among you! Bring on the facts of your crap you’ve been spewing. I for one saw their bad attitudes back in 1991 and have been speaking out against them ever since to my husband ire. He’s on board now though. I’ve gone as far as speaking out against college football as I see this a spring board for a worthless life in professional football. Who foots the bill for the coaches of those dearly beloved football teams, the high-paid professors who infect our children’s minds–WE DO! We’ve been paying to be screwed for a long time! Time for a change, put more change in your pockets too!

What I have always wondered is why was it watched in the first place…I doubt those that do really have all of their affairs in order so watching that is stealing time from somewhere else whether it be from your prep time, training time, skill building time, prayer time, time in the word, and etc…

6. At the end of the day, the players have the right to express their opinion. We may disagree with their actions, but it is their right, just as it is my right not to watch their childish antics.

   I refuse to say the pledge of allegiance. In our Constitution, only the government officials are required to take a loyalty oath, which is what the pledge is. When they take their oath, they are pledging their fealty to the Constitution. What are the first three words to our Constitution? We the People. They are supposed to be pledging their loyalty, their fealty, to us. It hasn’t quite worked out that way, has it.

   If I had to say a pledge of allegiance it would be something like this:

   I pledge allegiance to the flags of these united States of America, and to the Republics for which they stand. Fifty sovereign nations, voluntarily united, under God, with life, liberty, and the just pursuit of property for all.

   It needs work, but you get my point.

   So I don’t care if those rich elitist football players don’t stand for the national anthem, it is their right. But I think it would be better to not say that socialist pledge, and to not say it for the right reasons. They are just picking on the wrong thing, at the wrong time, with the expected and just backlash by their waning fan base. OOPS!

      Actually, players don’t have a right to express their opinions. When they are in their Jerseys, they are on the clock so-to-speak. When you are on your employers time, he/she can modify your first amendment rights/behavior because they are paying for it. There is precedent for this as well. Most teams will not allow players to place pro-life stickers on their helmets.
      What they do on their own time is different.

      1. Hugh, your general point about employers’ rights is correct, but the NFL coaches, managers, and owners have caved, and in the process, ratified not only the players’ disrespectful anti-patriotism, but their supposed “right” to commandeer their employers’ time and logos.

         Good point, and I stand corrected. The players as individuals have a right to their own opinions and to express them as they so choose. As employees, their rights are limited by the will of their employers. It’s up to the employers to keep them in check. In this case, the employers, team owners, caved. The sport will suffer as it rightfully should. I hope the fans and the sponsor protests of the players will have a positive effect.

7. Thinking of antifa brings this 1938 quote from H.L. Menken to mind:

To be sure, that Fascism is not likely to be identical with the kinds on tap in Germany, Italy and Russia; indeed, it is very apt to come in under the name of anti-Fascism.”

8. The NFL should die a painful death! What other sport or occupation promises nearly all participants, permanent brain damage? Can’t wait till the lawyers get their teeth into the new studies.

9. The NFL brouhaha is just another sleight of hand trick of Trump’s to deflect our attention from things that are truly important. The economy is teetering, North Korea is threatening nuclear explosions, people are starving & dying in Florida & Puerto Rico & our Great Leader keeps fanning the flames of divisiveness in the country. I deplore the player’s kneeling during the anthem & would jerk a knot in my son’s tail if he did such a thing, but I acknowledge the fact that it is the right of everyone of those overpaid, steroidal idiots to do so. The Founding Fathers, I’m sure, didnt envision this particular use of the First Amendment, but that is exactly what this is, a First Amendment issue, plain & simple. Let them posture & pose on the sidelines while the rest of us ignore them to pay attention to truly important issues & they will slink quietly back into their holes.

10. Have never saw a football, basketball or baseball game in 60 years . Have always had too many other things to do.

11. The author of the Pledge of Allegiance did not include the words “United States of America”. When the words were added, he was quite upset. He didn’t live long enough to see “under God”. He must have turned over in his grave at that one.
