Government should concentrate their efforts on defense of the country not on building unlimited empire.

If you want to keep your country, you need the means to defend it. It is obvious to me.
You should not scatter your energies in futile ventures of conquest which are costly to the public treasure. It can destroy your economy and we know that money is war’s fuel. War burns a lot of cash fuel with all the other economic ramifications we can live without.

Each time you engage in war, you go deeper in debt, because everything is done on credit. Did you know that the first income tax was created to pay for the first world war? So, now you realise that people are the ones who pay for all these wars. They pay in cash and blood. There is a lot more to say about this.

A well armed nation motivated in protecting it’s territory, will avoid military and economic futilities and concentrate on the building economic and military strength of it’s nation and territory.
