If you absolutely MUST shop online, sounds like the best plan is to get a one time or refillable (gift) card that’s not attached to your plastic or accounts, that you can use online.

  2. Even the refillable pre-paid cards require that the user enters the name, SS#, address, and email info before “fully activated” status is reached. There is NO privacy that can be gained by using these cards. It would seem that one’s private information could be garnered by a hack into one of these card institutions as well as or maybe even more so than the big name banks. Keep aware and keep your hair!

  3. On eugenics, the German eugenicists in the 1930s looked to America in the decades leading up to the 1930s for their inspiration. In the 1920s, America lead the world in eugenics. The crimes of the Germans are paraded before the world while the crimes of the Americans are forgotten. Sad that.

  4. I do not shop on line. If I find something I want I will LOOK on line to find someone that carries the product then I will call that merchant and order the product using a specific CC with a very low limit just for that purpose. I realize that when I say I call somebody that means I revert back to an old form of technology (telephone and yes I do still have a rotary dial phone, probably got antique value.) By using a phone I am forced into the position of having to talk to a human being (strange concept) and at that time I can ask questions about the product if I have any. I realize that if you were born after 1990 the will sound foreign to you but try it sometime. I also only deal with persons answering the phone in the U.S. I figure we need the jobs here at home. I’m sure that some of you are thinking I am a sexist , raciest, homophobic deplorable, pig. God my feelings are hurt.

  5. I gotta say an assisted suicide bill is a far cry from nazi Germany as so cleverly eluded to. Doctors don’t make the decision the pt does. That was a false statement printed above. A doctor can’t just write an order and say we are going to kill you. It’s for terminal pts in great pain who want to commit suicide with a clear mind and time; How would that person be considered an innocent? You would put a deer you hit with a truck out of its misery, why would you be so callous as not to allow a man the same diginity.

    1. First read the history of what has happened in the Netherlands since they legalized it. My favorite story is the one about the Roman Catholic nun in the hospital who had advanced cancer. She was euthanized. When her sister nuns discovered what had happened, they were shocked, and said she would never have requested that the doctor kill her. The doctor agreed, and said he had done it without asking her BECAUSE he knew she would refuse it.

There have been almost no prosecutions for unrequested euthanasia in the Netherlands, even when it is known for certain to have happened.

They are nearly at the bottom of the slippery slope. Elderly people meet to exchange lists of doctors who will not kill them without their consent.

Read the history of what has happened there so far.

Apart from that, God does not consider a painful death to be as great an evil as suicide. Ask His Son about that. Something about a cross.

    2. Greg,

Deciding to have a doctor help to end your life is not dignified. Only God should be allowed to decide when a life should end. Mankind should not be involved in this process. You see where the legalization of abortion has gotten us — we have slaughtered nearly 60 million little babies in this country. Mankind decided that babies weren’t convenient in these cases.

The euthanizing of patients has happened to people who weren’t quite convinced they wanted this. Family members have influenced them, as have medical doctors. As of February of this year, California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Oregon, Vermont and Washington state have assisted suicide policies. If we do not value life in all of it’s stages, we are no better than Lucifer, the great deceiver. Satan convinces people that some lives are not worth living. Do we glorify or condone suicide when it happens? Well, we shouldn’t glorify or condone “assisted suicide”, either. It is not our place to take or decide when a life must end. This is a very slippery slope. Who goes next? Our mentally handicapped, our physically handicapped or those who are “just in the way”? This thinking is why this has to stop and stop now.

  6. The gun control debate will never be allowed to be lost by the other side because it raises so much money,as does abortion, immigration, global warming/ cooling ect.

As far as assisted suicide goes unless you have stage 4 cancer or other fatal affliction like I have you are NOT entitled to an opinion!

  7. Actually Greg their is a move in several States to allow the doctor to make the decision based on his estimate of the patients quality of life. Coming to a state near you. I say this as a retired hospice R N . And to answer the question I know your dying to ask (no pun intended), the organization I was attached to did not / would not ever assist with suicide.

    1. JJ,

I hadn’t heard of this movement to allow the doctors to make end of life decisions based on their estimates of a patients quality of life. This is an atrocity, and I am sorry to learn of it. Yes, the Netherlands is a prime example of what happens when this slippery slope gets even worse. I haven’t been to the Netherlands, nor will I ever go. Only God should decide when a life ends. The behavior of this country as a whole has got to be grieving the Lord terribly. We should never be surprised when judgments come. With the holocaust of abortion and now “assisted suicide”, the judgments will come heavier and faster. We have lost our love of life and our love of God. I do not mean all of us, but a goodly amount of Americans.

  8. Re Data Security:
The closer we get to a “Cashless Society”, the closer we get to a Privacy-free society.

    By the way..
OPSEC and Credit/debit Cards do NOT have an overlap!
