I visited Auschwitz-Birkenau, when I was college student studying in Europe in the early 90s. It’s hard to describe the emotional angst, sadness and anger the entire group of us felt. There’s unbelievable amounts of evil in the world and Auschwitz is a testament to that evil as well as the need for good people to stand up to evil.
I visited another camp when I was in Germany several years ago. You could almost feel a palpable sense of evil around the place.
