“If those who wrote and ratified the 14th Amendment had imagined laws restricting immigration – and had anticipated huge waves of illegal immigration – is it reasonable to presume they would have wanted to provide the reward of citizenship to the children of the violators of those laws? Surely not.” – George Will

George F. Will, smart human being!
Don’t go overboard congratulating Mr. Will for having a single sane thought on immigration. He has proven himself to be on the side of the open border globalists repeatedly. He famously said we could never deport 10 million illegals as it would take 200,000 buses to do so assuming each bus held 50 illegals. That is a Yale man for you. His math assumes all buses full of illegals have to leave on the same day.
I am a high school graduate. I did the math for poor George.
200 buses full of 50 immigrants making one trip a day for 50 weeks a year for 4 years would remove 10 million illegals. You can depart 10 million illegals quite easily with 200 buses and 4 years.George is a fool,or worse. You do not need 200,000 buses. of course, once you started enforcing the law most would self-deport as we saw in Eisenhower’s Operation Wetback that happened in the 1950s. George will is one of the dumbest and least effective allies America has on immigration. I am surprised he is the author of today’s quote, I guess it proves the point even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Unless it’s digital (grin)
What happened to quoting the Bible on the weekends? I look forward to that each week. While the Will quote was very good, it wasn’t what I was expecting.
