Don’t forget his role in The Road.
“Lonesome Dove” is more than a movie. The subtle messages in that story are brilliant. It is holds a redemptive tone throughout and Duvall’s lines are timeless.
I second the Second Hand Lion’s role he played; what a great movie with a solid morality tale towards the end.
Robert Duvall as Gen. Robert E. Lee, talk about well done. An outstanding actor in all respects.
