Imagine that congress undertook to rewrite all those outdated treaties and gave the Indians freedom. They could keep their lands, perhaps incorporate them so they could be used for the benefit of their people. They could become self-sufficient, work, pay taxes, live freely and take care of themselves. It is way past time for this, perhaps should have been done 100 years ago.
Maybe the Indian reservations should become their own sovereign states. Make that with all the same rights and responsibilities as everyone else. They could even become American tax havens, if they are smart. If their is a uSA breakup they then become their own sovereign nations.
Hope they convert their casino at Fort Belknap into a food production unit.
