Editors’ Quote Of The Day

“A man’s ledger does not tell what he is, or what he is worth. Count what is in man, not what is on him, if you would know what he is worth—whether rich or poor.”  – Henry Ward Beecher

  1. A noble thought, but not at all how our society works. A sad indictment of the world. Try getting a bank to give you any sort of a loan with a credit score below 600 these days. You will have to pay usuary if they will even do business with you at all. A man is measured in this world only by his net worth. Friends, however, are priceless. But “it ain’t easy having pals”.
