Recipe of the Week: Orange-Glazed Carrots, by B.L.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups thinly sliced carrots
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 tbs butter or margarine
  • 3 tbs orange marmalade
  • 2 tbs chopped pecans

Directions:

  1. Combine carrots, water, and salt in a pot.
  2. Cover and cook on medium heat for 2 to 3 hours or until carrots are done.
  3. Drain well and stir in remaining ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on high 20 to 30 minutes.

makes 5 to 6 servings.

  1. Hours to cook carrots? And then adding sugar (marmalade) and going 20-30 minutes on high?
    I think someone was “high” when they wrote this…
