Thomson announced that he had discovered the electron, which helped revolutionize the knowledge of atomic structure; he later was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics. — I just belatedly learned of the death of economics commentator Richard B. Daughty (aka The Mogambo Guru.) He was born March 27, 1947 and died February 10, 2022. He stopped posting articles in 2017.
