The Survivalist’s Odds ‘n Sods

SurvivalBlog presents another edition of The Survivalist’s Odds ‘n Sods— a collection of news bits and pieces that are relevant to the modern survivalist and prepper from “JWR”. Our goal is to educate our readers, to help them to recognize emerging threats, and to be better prepared for both disasters and negative societal trends. You can’t mitigate a risk if you haven’t first identified a risk. Today, we look at the Biden regime’s plan to put the U.S. in the UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT).

A Resurgent 2A Battle to Wage

Over at the Personal Defense World web site: Biden Plans to Put United States Back into UN Arms Trade Treaty. This article begins:

President Joe Biden continues his trend of undoing everything positive Trump achieved while in office. Biden now takes aim at America’s law-abiding gun owners, yet again. He plans to bring the United States back into the anti-gun United Nations Arms Trade Treaty (ATT). State Department representative William Malzahn recently revealed the new scheme. He spoke at the 7th Conference of States Parties to the Arms Trade Treaty, reported Washington Examiner. ‘I have come from Washington, D.C., this week to take the floor on the agenda item Treaty Universalization to underscore the continuing commitment of the United States to responsible international trade in conventional arms.'”

JWR’s Comment:  The gun grabbers are clearly at it, again. It is time to start contacting your state’s U.S. Senators! Please put that on your calendar for a quarterly call.

Apple May Be Planning for Social Credit Scoring

Reader H.L. sent this, from The American Thinker: Is Apple Gearing Up for China-Style Internet Control in the U.S.? Here is an excerpt:

“Recently, Apple announced that it will deploy a new algorithm, NeuralMatch, to monitor iMessages and images on its devices. The ostensible purpose is to scan for photos containing nudity sent by or to children and also for photos of nude or seminude children. If a number of suspect images are backed up to an iCloud account, they will be decrypted and inspected, and the user reported to law enforcement. Police could then investigate or prosecute the user for possession of child pornography or for child sex abuse or other offenses. But, well-intentioned as the motive may sound, this is a matter of grave concern for privacy. Once such surveillance is begun, it opens the gates for other tech firms to follow suit, and worse, for warrantless scans for nefarious government purposes.”

Openly Rebellion Urged Against Biden Vax Mandate

Alan T. sent us this: Republicans Urge Businesses to ‘Openly Rebel’ Against Biden Vax Mandate. Here is the article’s opening lines:

“Republican lawmakers encouraged businesses to stand up to President Joe Biden’s employer vaccine mandate and refuse to comply.

Biden unveiled the new rule on Thursday, which requires employers with more than 100 employees to either mandate the coronavirus vaccines or weekly testing for employees who choose not to get vaccinated.

Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, said businesses should “openly rebel.””
