Preparedness Notes for Monday — October 21, 2019

On this day in 1950, Chinese forces invaded Tibet, beginning a brutal occupation that still continues. For some insight on Tibet in the late 1940s and early 1950s, I highly recommend the book Seven Years in Tibet.

  1. While the book “Seven Years in Tibet.” is a great book, a more informative read is “Out of this World” by Lowell Thomas Jr. Thomas Sr. and Jr. were invited to Tibet by the Tibetan government and given unprecedented access with the intent of encouraging US govt. support.
