Thank You Hugh and Jim. Just A Soldier brought a tear to my eye and let us know what this “holiday” is really all about. Thank you for posting it. Next time someone says Thank You for Your Service will they truly understand or just say it because it has become expected. To all who have served or are now serving or have given their all may I offer a very heartfelt “THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!”
In 2017, Memorial Day should be a day of mourning, fasting, and repentance in sack cloth and ashes for wasting the bloody sacrifice of the heroes and patriots who have gone before.
They sacrificed for liberty, but instead we have license. Abortion and no fault Divorce, Gay Marriage, Muslim refugees getting everything paid for yet committing fraud, illegal immigrants, as well as the NSA, TSA, BATF, and BLM,FBI, USF&WS harassing ranchers.
The wars since have been slow quagmires – like the Big Pharma who said treatment is more profitable than cures. The tree of liberty is watered just enough to not die, but not enough to grow or thrive.
But it will take sacrifices and I think the day is not far off when it will be our choice if we would sacrifice our blood, our honor, and our treasure to insure our children will know liberty as something they experience, not just read about.
