  1. I’m not sure if anyone has thought of this but the US government could legally put soldiers in American’s homes right now without their consent.
The 3rd Amendment reads: “No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.”.
Well the Global WAR On Terror is never ending so we are in a time of war and recent NDAAs have included all of the US as part of the battlefield so as long as they prescribe how they would like to quarter them in law (it might already exist) we could all get roommates and not be able to open our mouths to complain it is violating the Constitution.
Just a thought as we see the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th trampled on illegally daily, the 3rd isn’t exercised but could be without violation. With the billions we spend on barracks and on post housing I think this extremely unlikely but just a fun thought exercise.
