Idaho

I recently heard about Elijah Williams of Fire Creek Forge, in Troy, Idaho. He makes some great custom fixed-blade knives, at quite reasonable prices.

C. Thomas Knives, of Hayden, Idaho is famous for blades that are re-forged primarily from large circular commercial woodsaw blades. His etched and Damascus blades are gorgeous.

The third annual Inland Northwest Preparedness Expo will be held September 22nd and 23rd at the Bonner County Fairgrounds in Sandpoint, Idaho.

No tally of custom knifemakers would be complete without a mention of Ruana Knives of Bonner, Montana.

Ed Caffrey is an ABS Mastersmith who makes amazing knives. He also make some beautiful iron roses.

Eastern Oregon

Eastern Washington

D. Adams of Spokane Valley, Washington makes great knives that are fairly inexpensive.

  1. “The New West” Interesting article. West of the Divide, the state has gone down the rat hole of liberalism. Talk to any realtor who is honest and you will find out what persuasion people are who are moving there. Imo, the only thing that will change that trend is the coming brutal winters.
