Wyoming

GOP official says change to delegate selection process would give outsize influence to Wyoming’s small counties. JWR’s Comment: This sounds like typical RINO whining. In effect, he’s saying: “How dare each county be represented equally!” Here is some ground truth: Wyoming is strongly conservative state with 23 counties. But a good chunk of the state’s population is crammed into just four of those of those counties: Laramie, Natrona, Campbell, and Sweetwater. Those four tend to be more liberal. This same drama is being played out in States all over the nation. Presently, the conservative eastern counties of both Oregon and Washington are being held hostage by a few liberal western counties. It is high time to partition a few states, forming new states! Otherwise, this situation will become more dire.

Weatherby Marks Grand Opening of Wyoming Facility. The article begins:

“Firearms manufacturer Weatherby has celebrated the opening of its Wyoming manufacturing facility, which it moved from California because of the anti-gun climate there.

The Sheridan Press reports that state and local officials last week celebrated the company’s move to Sheridan as a victory in Wyoming’s ongoing push to diversify its economy.

Company President Adam Weatherby told the hundreds of attendees who showed up to witness the grand opening that while the company will draw on its, and Wyoming’s, traditions, the opening of the new facility represents a step forward.

Weatherby said 71 employees will staff the new manufacturing facility.”
