Preparedness Notes for Wednesday — February 5, 2020

On Feb. 5, 1869, the largest alluvial gold nugget in history, called the “Welcome Stranger“, is found in Moliagul, Victoria, Australia.  It weighed a whopping 97.14 kilograms.

The flu still has me in its grip.  (Pardon the pun.) So today I’m omitting my usual Recommendations of the Week.

  1. James, hope you are incorporating something like mucinex into your treatment plan. Anoxia from plugged alveoli and resultant lack of blood oxygenation is a real distinction between a sniffle and a serious flu. The MedCram YouTube’s laid it out clearly.

Men of our age become more susceptible, I have found and experienced, to issues like serious bronchitis and pneumonias.

Just yesterday an old Marine helping at the gas pump told me how he had nearly died of pneumonia as a young tough rifleman.

    Praying for your speedy recovery.
