His description of the terrain: Only understanding the cataclysmic events that happened here at Dry Falls State Park in Washington State can you fully appreciate the topography of this area. The land now sits parched and desolate but once was home to the largest falls in the world – 10 times longer than Niagara Falls and nearly twice as high. Massive vortices from torrential currents scoured potholes unlike anything in the world. Boulders the size of large buildings were swept away as far as the Pacific Ocean.
