The Editors’ Quote of the Day:

“As smoke from burning buildings smudged the skyline and the TV news showed vivid images of laughing looters smashing windows and carting off boomboxes and booze, I got a few phone calls from firmly anti-gun friends in clear conflict. ‘Umm, Chuck, you have quite a few …ah, guns, don’t you?'” – Charlton Heston on the L.A. riots of 1992, from his autobiography In the Arena (1995)

  1. I kept these guys in mind when I started buying .30 cal battle rifles soon after..ended up with a Cetme .308 and an Imbel FAL variant–both great shooters (both for under $500 A PIECE!) and definite ‘game changers’–I was 50+ miles south of the LA riots when theY erupted and that’s when I purchased my first gun (9mm Taurus) and I found out I had to wait 3 weeks to take possession of MY property! Have been pro 2A since.
