This is anniversary of the heroic death of USAF Capt. Lance Sijan. Though he was severely injured, he evaded capture for an amazing 46 days after ejecting from his F-4 Phantom over North Vietnam. He was eventually captured and tortured. He died on January 22, 1968 in Hanoi.
