This is anniversary of the heroic death of USAF Capt. Lance Sijan. Though he was severely injured, he evaded capture for an amazing 46 days after ejecting from his F-4 Phantom over North Vietnam. He was eventually captured and tortured. He died on January 22, 1968 in Hanoi. I just heard from Micah Wood of C.R.O.S.S. Ministries that he is flying to South Sudan on January 29th. During his first week there, he will have a host in Aweil who is with the South Sudanese national government who will be introducing him to key decision makers.
