Notes from HJL:

SurvivalBlog has received a number of concerned queries from readers who may end up on the customer lists confiscated by the ATF in the raids on EP Armory and Ares Armor. We are still gathering information on what exactly happened, but the picture that is beginning to emerge is that an individual across the state lines used EP Armory lowers, purchased through Ares Armor, to build rifles without serial numbers and then sold them to others. If that is indeed the case, that individual broke the law (in regards to the Gun Control Act of 1968). Bear in mind that …

Notes from HJL:

From californiarighttocarry.org: “On March 14th Federal Judge Janis L. Sammartino ‘modified’ her TRO to allow the BATFE to conduct the raid pursuant to a warrant at the request of the ATF effectively nullifying her earlier TRO against the ATF in the case of Lycurgan Inc. v. Jones aka Ares Armor v. BATFE. The jack booted NAZIs of the ATF raided Ares Armor.” o o o Today, we have two guest articles. The first, from our resident medical editor, deals with a subject that worries many of us&emdash; “Stretching your medicines when they are unobtainable”. The second is critically important if …

Notes from HJL:

Ares Armor has now been raided by the ATF despite wining a temporary injuction against them. There is no official word yet, buy here is a Youtube video of agents rummaging through the inventory with evidence of the door being pried open. Presumably, they are also confiscating the customer data as well. – B.B. o o o Today we present another entry for Round 51 of the SurvivalBlog non-fiction writing contest. Notes from HJL:

SurvivalBlog received quite a few replies to the story yesterday regarding EP Armory, and I think we are beginning to get a picture as to what is going on. Simultaneous to that story, another manufacturer, Ares Armor, was able to temporarily stop the ATF from confiscating a customer list of those who purchased 80% lowers. According to one source, it would appear that the ATF is more interested in those that purchased the 80% receivers than anything else, and the raid’s purpose was to capture customer data. There is some question about what constitutes the 80% in a polymer receiver …

Notes from HJL:

This disturbing news was received yesterday: ATF raids ‘80% complete receiver’ manufacturer, looking for ‘illegal guns’. It is not clear yet why the ATF raided EP Armory’s location, since they did not confiscate any guns or gun parts. They did take electronic items, but allowed EP Armory to open back up later on Friday. No one has been arrested. EP Armory is a sponsor of SurvivalBlog’s non-fiction writing contest. o o o Note From JWR: I heard that both ITT and Litton are both soon going to be increasing the wholesale price the PVS-14 3rd generation autogated light amplification tubes …

In the Odds ‘n Sods column today, there is a link about the general bias of the SPLC. To add to that, one of our readers informed us: “I thought I should draw your attention to an article that contains a reference to ‘Patriots, A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse,’ where it is described as a ‘radical survivalist book’ being marketed by a neo-Nazi activist April Gaede, who apparently receives commissions from Amazon for any sales that are linked to her website.” – W.B. Notes From HJL:

The secession movement in the U.S. is still running strong, but just not how people thought it was going to run. There are several areas of the U.S. that feel they are not represented by their state legislators very well. It’s not so much a conservative versus liberal conflict as much as a rural versus urban battle. Gun control laws seem to be at the heart of the issue, but there is more. The New USA?
