(Although I still consider the price of 5.56mm ball ammo still too high.) The real bargain these days is stripped AR-15 lower receivers, which can be had for around $49 each. If …

The matter is especially critical to our infants’ survival in the TEOTWAWKI. o o o Today we present another entry for Round 52 of the SurvivalBlog non-fiction writing …

From a SurvivalBlog Reader: New bill would change the definition of an antique firearms to Pre-1914 “Currently, any gun made in 1898 or before is deemed an antique, but the new bill would change that to 1913. This change would be significant because it would increase the number of antique firearms that could be sold and shipped without a Federal Firearm License.” Hmmmm….an original 1911 (built from 1911 – 1913), could cease to exist on BATF paper. What’s NOT to like ? Expect major squawking from “Bloomberg’s Bolsheviks “. – T.Y. JWR Adds: The “Antique” threshold has been artificially frozen …

Notes from HJL:

I have received a number of complaints about the new server and the move across platforms that can be traced to old software. It is important that SurvivalBlog readers understand the importance of keeping your desktop software up-to-date to guard against security threats. Microsoft officially ceased mainstream support of XP in April of 2009, offering only monthly security updates. As of April 8, 2014, Microsoft no longer offers even …
