We just got back from the grocery store where my wife bought a cactus. I’m not a “plant person” generally, but if it makes her happy, well, then I’m happy. Removing the new plant from its bag revealed it to be a dragon fruit cactus. FOOD!!! I am always up for food. A closer look at the label revealed more information that was odd. Turns out the company placed a registration number on the houseplant’s tag, which allows the consumer to register it online with the company.
Needless to say, (but I am going to) this led us to investigate the company’s website. The company is located in Ontario, Canada. The more we looked, the less we liked.
Lo and behold, the corporate speak sounded like talking points from a global political think tank…with one exception. They claimed that plants would help rid indoor air of pollution and help to purify what we breathe. An amazing admission!
Actually, all green plants do this in a method scientifically proven, called photosynthesis. Plants take in CO2, CO, other gases, and impurities and release oxygen (which we need to remain alive). Sunlight is the power source for this amazing process. Lately, however, woke globalist types have spun the truth and called it a lie….that plants are allegedly killing the planet. So just how, or why this particular company is doing plant registrations given their obvious “progressive” stance while holding on to one piece of actual science is a bit of a puzzle…until you get back to that little tag.
Could it be that they hope to win people over with one claim (that plants purify your air) but on the other hand what they really wanted to know was just who the plant lovers and gardeners are? Yeah, it sounded far-fetched to us, until a deeper dive on their website.
Upon registering your plant, you can then plug in some info, like the square footage of your home, among other personal details. Supposedly you will then be provided with a FREE recommendation of how many plants you will need to clean your home’s air! How thoughtful! They even say they have an algorithm that will help.
Now some of the “lefter leaning” notions they put out was that wood stoves produce pollution. Really? A properly set up wood stove produces, in about 24 hours, less pollution than a pack of cigarettes. Furthermore, environmentalists have long claimed that wood stoves contribute to acid rain. Really? Common sense and some science would likely not support that belief. Why? Well, any soap maker would tell you that wood ash, and its by-products, when combined with water, like rain, produce…are you ready for it?..an alkali, not an acid. It’s called lye.
This company even offers “points” towards earning special badges if you have the “correct” number of plants in your home.
I looked at my wife and said, “What’s next? They share information with Klaus Schwab, and the WEF sends the cactus police to your house?” I had said that with a sarcastic tone and smile because it seemed too absurd. And then I realized in the pineapple upside-down cake world we are living in, it could really happen.
Recent articles related how the globalists consider home gardens “more polluting” than INDUSTRIAL FARMS! Pardon the pun, but that fails the “sniff test.”
Our pastor noted from the pulpit on Communion Sunday, February 4th, that: “Be careful that you are fighting against the real enemy. “ Your real enemy is not just some woke government, some misguided pop singer calling herself a Christian because she supports murdering babies, or some website supporting globalist communism or the Noahide Laws. Your real enemy is an actual being who is composed entirely of self-willed evil…Satan. Our main weapon against him, and those he controls is prayer. Scripture says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16)
None of us who truthfully claim the Christian faith are righteous in ourselves. God considers us righteous only if we have chosen His side through trusting His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus said also, “He who does the will of my Father is my ‘family’,…” (Matthew 12:50) Salvation comes from trusting Jesus. The quality of our salvation comes from our behavioral response to God’s commands. So, we need to pursue holiness in a very wicked era. Then, we can pray effectively.
We should not pursue physical violence unless evil is directly brought to bear upon us or those we love. However, we are responsible to God for failing to protect those for whom we are responsible, such as children or family members.
And it is simply maddening the level of minutia and the fine-toothed micromanagement in which our enemy engages. While it is thought-provoking, it is even more emotively provoking. That little tag represents the thinking of the elite. We can see this played out in education, healthcare, politics, entertainment, the legal system, government, and even religion. One can look back at the history of Nazi Germany to see the parallels (Satan is brilliant in many respects, but he is also a “Johnny One Note” in his methodology.), and also the attempts to stop Hitler. Dietrich Bonhoeffer attempted to assassinate Hitler and paid the price for doing so. He counted the cost and paid the price. He is so well known because so few men(or women) are willing to do that. My aunt Gerda was raped, beaten, and starved in Hitler’s camps. My grandfather fled both the Bolsheviks and the Nazis. What you are seeing now are the things that led to Buchenwald, and the Holodomor Holocaust.
By the same token, we are where we are because nobody stopped the drag queen story hours. Nobody stopped the abortions. Nobody simply said, “NO” to the woke school board, and in no uncertain terms. Make no mistake: there are those who claim that physical action might destroy our “testimony.” There is another side to that: maybe we destroyed our testimony by not acting. Certainly, the world thinks Christians are doormats, and they act on that assumption. I wonder why….
Alexander Solzhenitsyn left an now footnote in the Gulag Archipelago. I will reproduce it here. The context was musings that the political prisoners made once they were incarcerated in the Soviet Russian Gulags:
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security Operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say goodbye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested one-quarter of the entire city, people had not sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door, and at every step on the staircase, but had UNDERSTOOD THEY HAD NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE AND HAD BOLDLY SET UP IN THE DOWNSTAIRS HALL AN AMBUSH OF HALF A DOZEN PEOPLE WITH AXES, HAMMERS, POKERS, OR WHATEVER ELSE WAS AT HAND? …Or what about the Black Maria [black cars used by the NKVD to “disappear citizens”] sitting out there on the street with one lonely chauffeur—what if it had been driven off or its tires spiked? The Organs would have very quickly suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! Of If, if…WE DIDN’T LOVE FREEDOM ENOUGH.”
That is a truncated quote of the footnote located on page 13, of the 1974 paperback edition. I strongly suggest reading the book in its entirety.
Now, I am not calling for an immediate call to arms in any way. I am calling for an INTELLECTUAL SHIFT in our collective and individual thinking. We are offered trash from the powers that be. What we do with that trash will make all the difference. Even the Pop Group DEVO once opined, “Are We Not Men?” If so, then perhaps we should be making incursions into enemy territory. Are you serving on your school board? Are you in management at the local healthcare facility? Do you hold a political office? Are you in Law Enforcement or the Military? May I suggest that the enemy can die of a million cuts, just like we can? Your cuts can simply be a policy you write. A decision of selective enforcement, or even some other tiny thing you or I can influence.
For an older person, such as myself, it can be very simple, such as not buying from ‘that’ company, or shopping differently. My wife and I serve our Church in a Security function. We take that responsibility very seriously. You will need to make your own incursions, and in your own way.
In the final analysis, we decided to buy plants locally sourced and use cash. If cash goes away (another globalist idea), then we will barter. Eighty-seven thousand new IRS agents to monitor your bartering? Be ready for that eventuality! Although this Cactus incident was largely innocuous, can you see the noose tightening? I mean, soon, even our children won’t belong to us…oh, wait,….that’s already happening in a few states.
Now is not the time to bury our heads. Resist evil and madness as peacefully as you are treated and as definitely if you are treated otherwise. There may be consequences. If….you love Freedom or your children enough. Pray. Find your spiritual center and remain steadfast. Be prepared for things to go sideways, and ALL that might mean in regards to your response.
A note to the globalists:
It will not be as easy as you may think.
