But What about Fascism?
Oh boy, could I fill the books out on this topic. However, I would like to focus more on the lead in to Nazi Germany than the results…because it re-enforces where my article will end.
Germany in the late 1920s through early 1930s was hit equally hard as America during the Great Depression and Dust Bowl. Even though the Nazi party had existed for quite some time, it did not see a popularity boost until a zealous young man gave it a face and a promise. The root problem they faced, was wartime reparations from WWI…it was strangling them financially from previous bad government and wartime action. The German people were desiring a way out, and were lulled into the promises of a mad-man.
The next learning is the frog in hot water analogy…a frog thrown into boiling water will jump out, but put into water that is slowly heated, the frog will cook without so much as a croak. This is the approach that the Nazis set up to seize power. Using communication as a weapon, and oh how they even put the commies to shame with how well they used the propaganda machine, Hitler swooned the country to recognize the Nazi party as a sincere and logical option to the ‘corruption’ and depression of the time.
In one final swoop, Hitler used the fear generated by the (supposed) communists setting the Reichstag fire of German parliament to legislate away every freedom that protects Western Civilization (Similar to our (un)Patriot Act). In one night, 4,000 people deemed a threat or conspirator were kidnapped, many never to be seen again. When you hand this kind of power to your government…it will eventually will be used against you – a hammer always yearns for a nail to hit.
Fascism is born in the same vein as communism, but focuses on strong national productive strength vs ‘everyone in the world should share’. Fascism recognizes what communism faltered with… private industry can make a great bed partner to the government. Make no mistake though, Hitler tried to encompass much of the world under his thumb regardless the difference. You should understand that Fascism, like Socialism and Communism, are illusions that feed off of your desire. They promise everything, but fail to deliver because they are not capable of creation of the thing they are proposing to share – only consumption of it. Though, in some cases, nationalism itself does produce well, it is usually not overly sustainable. Remember, once you start down the road of any of these paths, the longer you are on it, the harder it is to turn around.
What about today? Is there no hope?
I am happy to say to all of you still reading, that yes there is hope. Just like there was hope for the Jews that tomorrow someone would save them from the concentration camp, just like there was hope that the Berlin wall would not have someone shooting you for crossing it, just like there was hope that you could raise a family because you could finally have access to food. There is always hope, and there always will be…you just need to know evil’s playbook, acknowledge how it works and trust in Our Shepherd.
Today, we are in trialing times. Our leaders are acting like children, ignoring the basic needs of their people and focusing on their bread and circuses like social media, welfare services for all, free and open immigration, neglecting our forests and natural resources…which all lead to division. They call for the rich to “pay their share”, when it is the rich that typically pay the salaries of workers of companies that are productive in the private sector. “Govunism” (communism+socialism+facism) is hard at work in our backyard.
What is certainly clear, is that even the Roman Empire adopted Christianity in its last days, to ensure that it had “Progress” that would combine its power and influence and gather more into its bosom. The Roman Catholic Church combined paganism and Christianity…which I never realized how much until recently leaving that church…and focuses more on the action of crucifixion of Christ, rather than the resurrection. While Christs’ sacrifice and death for all humanity is a critical point, his resurrection from the dead is even more so, and has never otherwise occurred in all of time.
Do not let yourself be distracted by social media, the news, and your bickering family members who complain about certain politicians. The truth is that all of us are broken at our centers, we are all drawn to darkness naturally and without help, and we are only washed anew by Him who died for us and rose again. Our subjugators know this (and is why going to church has been a dirty event during this great scamdemic), and by now they know exactly how to trick us into our own enslavement…fear.
I will tell you that the greatest target for the govunists has always been America. The richest, free, and most beautiful land across the globe…and now they have given it syphilis. The United Nations is the greatest threat on the planet in my (and many others) opinion. It is the most ultimate, un-regulated version of govunism that can be created – but on a global scale (dare I say biblical scale?). What if the Roman Empire formulated its contingency plan for survival by establishing the remnants of itself in a religion, which was funded by the sheep they intended to enslave? The very same logic that ran through the the Empire feels more and more today like what history portrays during their rule 2000 years ago – they just have new enslavement tools that are 1000% more effective.
I have read UN Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030, I encourage you to do so, too. I can promise you that there is nothing in your best interest inside them. They seek to eliminate your life, because the masses have become too many to be manageable…but this is “good for the planet” of course. This is why they hate President Trump so much, he is refusing bribes, bucking the UN conquest of America, and exposing their govunist plans with some of their own data. All one needs to look at is Canada, England, and Australia for clues as to their style of “integration” and “obedience” tactics during Covid.
We face an uphill battle, as our world is now connected by a trillion threads. Electricity has connected each and every human on this planet, and every keystroke to every background noise is recorded to recall. With current events re-enforcing the above statements, even the most un-aware of us are waking up to the possibility of 2021 surpassing Orwell’s 1984. Big Tech has now silenced a sitting US president with no official repercussions, and they are spreading their silencing to many of the conservative alternate media outlets as well. Congressmen/women, Senators and Judicial “leaders”…they are certainly leading us…right into an authoritarian state. They are waiting with baited breath to enact the Patriot Act 2.0 under the guise of “Domestic Terrorism”, or those that disagree with them.
When feelings matter more than truth, and aggressive minority groups are pedestaled over a well-behaved majority, the sneak attacks of the communist methodology have already been unleashed. These people have already played their first hands, and the coming restriction (particularly related to “hate speech”) will certainly be in their best interest. Big Tech wants to replace big banks for a cut of each transaction.
The Attacks Will Continue
I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but these attacks on our way of life will continue…but you and I can have hope in our knowledge that this playbook of theirs is slowly becoming known. We are waking up from our complacency coma, and are beginning to get vocal about their misdeeds. I for one have not had a Twitter or Fakebook account for 7+ years, and I loved gaining so many hours a week back of my life. Show your protest to these tyrants by boycotting their products and services. They do not have your best interest in mind, and anything you have said or posted will be used against you at a future date. You matter, Twitter and fakebook lost billions when they censored President Trump, and millions of people left.
Remember this: FREEDOM IS WORTH THE SUFFERING. Why do you think our countrymen died to create this nation? Please also remember that Freedom is not comfortable for everyone. Freedom will allow poor, rich, and even sometimes actions & speech that seem like oppression…but it also rights these in time. The right of a neighbor to shoot their weapon on their own property can be noisy and sometimes annoying. But when that neighbor is 15 seconds away when a home invasion happens at your home and they help you…wasn’t your life worth the “discomfort”? We are strongest together.
When posting truth on social media (if you have to stay on), ask a question instead of citing something as a fact…poke the curiosity button of others while avoiding outright deletion. If everyone is asking the same question and getting no answer…eventually they get wise to the ruse, all without actually being the one that claimed the information. Abide by the 10 great laws and we will get through, maybe even wake our country up in time…I know people in countries like Germany are close to reaching their “had-enough” point.
Even if this country/world burns as a result of the sly hand that has been squeezing it, I know that all my fellow patriots who follow the calling of our Shepherd will stand up for what is right, and be rewarded far greater than any riches on earth. Get mad, get loud, get vocal…but do not stoop to the level of these govunist revolutionaries with preliminary violence. Even if our voice is all they hear, if righteous – it will echo in their ears as they burn in the fire. It takes enough of us, just don’t let only your keyboard do the work (unless your keyboard efficiency is great). Maybe a Mimi Bobeck-style rendition of playing repetitiously at full volume for them to hear our voice. Hang that poster that says “Cuomo killed my Grandma” if it’s true (I am in New York and it is true). Boycott their products and hit them where it hurts – their bottom line.
Stay strong, stay vigilant, stay prepared, stay peaceful, stay faithful to your family and your Creator and Savior, and for Pete’s sake….stay together! Share this knowledge of the way that evil works, so that we can shine some light on it. Use your inherent desires to drive accountability, for ‘just’ laws, for honesty…then you will see just how the rest of the natural desires lead to greed and more Govunism. You will finally recognize when a wolf is calling itself a sheep, and be wise against it and call it out. If this truly is the beginning of the end, then we surely gave us and our children the best chance at recognizing and rejecting evil’s game plan. After all – you cannot make sweaters without finally shearing the sheep. I hope that the sweater made from me (yours too!) is pure like snow, and I look forward to seeing you all on the other side of the gate.

They somehow think it’s the job of their pastor to do that. Most pastors (or whatever official title the religious leaders go by) have never read the Bible for themselves. I have asked a number of them – face-to-face – and so far none of them that I have conversed with have read the Bible completely for themselves. None. I’m sure there are some, but I have not personally met any. I’ve read the New Testament five times and the entire Bible through from Genesis to Revelations once and would like to repeat it sometime soon. I left the Catholic church at age sixteen (at great risk from my Father’s wrath) because I recognized that it was more a church of man-made rules rather than of Christ and the bible. We did not read the bible in church or within our family. The Good Book was moralized and dictated by the church. However, everyone has an opinion based on individual experience and circumstance and that is fine with me.
As for Lazer’s part 4, the most important take was the statement ‘we are waking up from our complacency coma’. I agree. It seems more people are recognizing the swamp for what it is and they are frustrated to the point of verbalizing their feelings.

That holiday is NAMED FOR the pagan fertility cult which originated it, the Assyrian and Babylonian worship of Ishtar/Astarte. Where do you think the bunnies & eggs came from? Our Messiah was a practicing, orthodox Jew, so of course we celebrate His resurrection with … ham? Pig bones are not archeologically evident in the trash heaps of New Testament era Christian communities. They showed up in the 300s AD/CE, when pagan Rome cosmetically adopted a new state religion for political reasons. Or in other words, as the Catholic church was being organized as such. It has been pagan since its inception.
Judaism and New Testament Christianity marked the new moon, not the full moon. Jesus was resurrected during the week of Unleavened Bread, the Passover season. The feast of Ishtar is set for the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, which is why it varies so much from year to year. Equinox and solstice festivals are distinctly pagan. (Passover varies because the Hebrew calendar is soli-lunar, the months are lunar but leap years keep the months roughly stable within their solar seasons.)
The association of Ishtar with Passover and the resurrection was crafted to lend a patina of legitimacy to the pagan fertility rites of the spring equinox, and give the supposedly-converted pagans an acceptably Christian label for their festivals which were incorporated into and sanctioned by the Catholic church. You are absolutely right, Easter is the epitome of the Catholic holidays. And Catholicism has been pagan from its earliest beginnings, legends regarding the origin of the papacy notwithstanding.
The Bible wasn’t mass produced by printing press until the Gutenberg bible was first printed in 1455. It was not widely available to the masses around the world. The Catholic Church has existed from the time of our Lord Jesus Christ and exists to this day. The purpose of both is to convey the truths which our Lord lived and died to teach us. Let us focus on what we have in common, not that which divides us.
The Catholic Church has existed since 313 AD, when Constantine legalized Christianity in the Edict of Milan. In 380, under Emperor Theodosius, Christianity became the state religion of the Roman Empire by the Edict of Thessalonica, a decree of the Emperor which would persist until the fall of the Western Roman Empire (Western Empire), and later, with the Byzantine Empire (Eastern Roman Empire), until the Fall of Constantinople.”
The legalization and then the making it a State Religion allowed the Pagan practices to infiltrate the church, so that everyone in his kingdom would “accept” Christianity.
There was not a true repentance/heart change and conversion and baptism into Christ by most of the people.
Therefore to say that Europe was “Christian” was a misnomer.
There has always only been a remnant of true born-again, spirit-filled followers of Christ.

Constantine did legalize Christianity in 313AD, but this was not the beginning of the Catholic Church. Christians called themselves Catholic at least as far back as St. Ignatius of Antioch (early 2nd century).
We Catholics do make the claim that the Catholic Church goes back to the beginning, being founded by Christ himself. Jesus did say he would found a Church, and he said it at the same time he changed Simon’s name to Peter.
God does not change men’s names lightly. There is always a significant reason. Abram’s name was changed to Abraham, and he became the father of many nations and the patriarch in whose line the Savior would come. We Catholics, of course, hold St. Peter to be the first pope.
The first centuries of Christianity were a time of persecution and countless martyrs. Saints Felicity and Perpetua, for example, were martyrs of the 3rd century. In 312AD, Christianity was illegal, and the courage of the martyrs was very much alive. Are we to believe that, the following year when, according to you, the Catholic Church was founded, the courage of the martyrs suddenly failed? Where was the outcry against this supposedly new and false Church? Are we to believe that the saints who would not so much as burn a pinch of incense to the emperor but gladly suffer torture and death simply acquiesced without so much as a whimper?
You were not there, nor can you read hearts, so you cannot possibly know that converts did not have a true change of heart. We need only read St. Augustine’s Confessions to see how deeply he repented in the 400s, a mere century after Christianity was legalized. But he could not be counted among the underground remnant, being the Bishop of Hippo.
And yes, indeed, Europe was Christian—in fact, Catholic—and you and I both are the beneficiaries of the civilization the Church created. It is precisely that civilization that the secularists are working so feverishly to destroy and replace with the godless culture we live in today.
Your history is an accurate account as to what Catholics believe and interpret. It’s not what I believe or how I interpret the history.
I don’t believe that when the religion of Christianity became legalized by Constantine, and then state sanctioned, that it was God’s will for His people.
Because then it became organized and rituals were enforced with all kinds of rote practices and abuses and oppressions occurred to the lay people by the priests, bishops and popes, an evil system of control and persecutions of those who want to obey the scriptures only.

You might want to consider the following verse where Christ spoke to Peter.
Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Please note that the word “Peter” in the Greek manuscript is “petros”, which means “a piece of rock; a stone; a single stone; movable, insecure, shifting, or rolling.” The word “rock” is “petra”, which means “a rock; a cliff; a projecting rock; mother rock; huge mass; solid formation; fixed; immovable; enduring.” Christ was this rock (petra), not Peter (petros) and the apostle Paul understood this well as he wrote to the early church in Corinth the following:
1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
Interestingly Peter starts his writing with the following in his first epistle:
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
Please note the following in verse 1 that Peter proclaimed to be “an apostle of Jesus Christ” not a pope or a replacement for Christ. Verses 2 and 3 show it is Christ that is to be the focus of all true followers, not a mortal man.
Timothy proclaimed the following:
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
The mediator is Christ Jesus, not Peter or Paul or Timothy or any of the other apostles. The four gospel writers Mathew, Mark, Luke and John all knew who the Messiah was showed that there was salvation to be had only in accepting Christ’s sacrifice.
A careful reading of both of Peters epistles will show that he never accepted worship, he never claimed to be divine, he never claimed any of Christ’s other followers to be a replacement for Christ.

I appreciate that you care enough to respond to my comment. I know this is an argument concerning which neither of us will be able to convince the other—certainly not in the comment box of a blog. I wrote my comment to address historical errors in comments on a post concerned with history.
I will try just to make a brief reply for the sake of clarification. We Catholics do not believe that the pope is divine. Nor do we believe that St. Peter is divine. Nor do we believe either of them to be replacements for Christ. Nor do we worship them. Nor do we believe that there is salvation in any other name than Jesus Christ. These are not things any of the Catholics I know believe, nor are they things the Catholic Church teaches.
Concerning petra vs petros, in the Aramaic that Christ would have spoken, there is not this distinction; yet when writing it in Greek, it would be odd to call a man by the feminine version of the word you are assigning to him. In other words, we wouldn’t expect Christ to assign Simon the name Patricia if one were to translate what He said into English. The fact remains that Christ changed Simon’s name at the point where he speaks of founding His Church, and God doesn’t change names lightly.

I do fully agree that Christ changed Simon’s name – that is plain and I believe most people would agree on that point. I also agree that Christ spoke a Semitic language and read a Semitic language. Most (if not all) scholars agree that he spoke Aramaic as you have pointed out. As someone with a background in science I find it odd that inanimate things were given specific genders in various spoken languages which in this particular case was Greek. The reason I mentioned petra and petros is because most of the Bibles in use today were translated from Greek (at least the New Testament portions). I think we would both agree that there would be less confusion and differences of belief if the New Testament was translated into the target language directly from the source and not an “intermediate middle man” like Greek. In Greek thought there were believed to be many different gods of various levels of importance.
I have friends from many different religious backgrounds including Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, Mormon, Methodist, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc. and I can find some common ground with all of them, but at the same time I have some differences as well all based on study of the Bible directly.
I will close on this point: Since there has been a (1) time lapse of about 2,000 years since the last book of the Bible was written and (2) the culture and the (3) language has changed I believe it’s wise to study other authors of that same time period, culture and language. That is why I mentioned the four gospel writers Mathew, Mark, Luke and John as they all saw the Messiah and spoke directly with Him. Even though Paul was converted after Christ ascended he was taught by Christ’s Disciples so I included his testimony as well.

Thankfully I have a Pastor who reads and studies his bible and encourages us to do the same. I have now read through the entire bible at least ten times. One suggestion, look at how many pages your bible has and divide by 365. When you see how little you have to read each day to complete it in one year it becomes quite easy. At my current rate I will complete it twice this year. I know this may sound boastful but that is not my intention but rather to encourage.
“Punching right” is how America got to the current sorry state. Dividing Christians over doctrine at a time when all good people need to UNITE only serves the devil.
So, I am curious to which history is being fleeced. True history of the world, where the original Hebrews had a dark hue ? I understand your skepticism of American pastors, and agree that many, maybe most, are not truly knowledgeable about the Bible. It’s a shame. But there are still some excellent churches around. I am a pastor in an association of about 1,200 churches in the US, and I just returned from a Pastor’s conference where hundreds of us studied the Bible together for 3 straight days. Our pastors teach their congregations the Bible, book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, every week. Some of our pastors are well-known in the US as having been leaders against the Government tyranny during the Covid plandemic. They have been heavily fined, threatened with forced closures, but still they keep the doors of the church opened, even in the most oppressive blue states. So, take hope, there are many, many excellent Bible-loving, Bible-teaching, tyranny resisting Christian pastors out here still! Take Courage!
Thank you for this article and reminding us of true history. I know it took many days of writing and editing and I appreciate your efforts. Many of us actually learned this history in school, but for younger generations, history has been ignored, modified and/or cancelled. All the prophecies are happening and coming true and God will not allow these perverts and satanists to continue for long. Evil may win the battle but not the war.

Very interesting your article I congratulate you, on the point of religion as a resource for subjection, it is enough to read the chronicles of the conquest of America, as for the lack of reading the bible for four hundred years it was instilled that the only ones who could interpreting the bible were the priests (Catholic Church), since education outside the “elect” was unnecessary.

Describing your reasons for rejecting and leaving is not “attacking”. History shows that the attacks have come from the power base from which the objectors have left, and not the other way around. Martin Luther’s thesis was not an attack, it was an objection for which he was persecuted for by the pope’s church.

There are approximately 1.9 Billion Muslims in the world, and rapidly increasing, and the goal of devout Islam is to convert, enslave, or kill all non-Muslims. You have challenged me to find the scripture for minding my own taters. LOL! This is my favorite of several I read – basically it says to me – mind your own taters.
Romans 14:1-12
14 As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. 2 One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. 3 Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. 4 Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
5 One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Hey Marine, as soon as I can find my Irish translation (they weren’t crazy about King James) I’ll share with you the parable of the praties, or potatoes as the unenlightened call them. It’s also interesting that “Mind Our Own Taters” is where the word MOOT comes from. So it’s moot to argue differences between different sects of Christianity and better that everyone lives a good life according to the dictates of their religion, conscience, etc.
That definition of moot is also found in the Irish Bible as soon as I can locate it… It has a green cover, you’d think I’d’ve found it by now. Maybe that Lucky Charms fellow borrowed it for his Sunday School lesson preparation?

The Lord’s church began at the first Pentecost after the resurrection of Christ. It’s tenets are very simple: Hear/read the Word, believe that Jesus Christ is Lord and the only head of the His church, repent of your sins against God, confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Master and be baptized. Then you live as a SLAVE to Christ following his example in everything you do.
I read my Bible cover to cover every year with a legal pad and pencil in hand writing down things to delve deeper into when I read them. Then I study those questions looking for answers in the Bible. The old testament teaches us that Christ is coming. The new testament gives us the witness of Christ and His disciples, the establishment of His church with him as the cornerstone.
The Bible teaches that your salvation is your responsibility, no pastor or priest can do it for you. The new testament teaches that we are each individually priests (disciples) in the Lord’s church. How much study are you doing to develop your own ability know and follow the Lord’s will.
I am a member of the Lord’s church, the one established in Acts 2. Like everything else in our lives, there are individuals and groups who work to corrupt the church for the very same reason politicians and others do — POWER.
Read and study your Bible every day, and you will find yourself questioning some of the beliefs of almost every church group.
The Lord has only one church. Be a member of it and a disciple of the Lord every day.
P. S. Thank you Lazer for an excellent article. We must spend a lot of time publishing our real history. Prehistoric people lived here for thousands of years, and our history begins in 1607 and the years preceding when historical (those who can write a record down) people began to explore and settle here.
Reading through Job currently and just happened to read Job 24 this morning. Seemed quite fitting to this article. Thank you for taking the time to write this and share what the light of God looks like.
We will answer to Almighty God and to the remnant of our seed for the choices we make this day! I do not fear the outcome of our current state of affairs, God is at the helm, and I do not fear death.
My heart does cry for those that have fallen and those that will fall in defense of Liberty. Many criticize the military as a tool of the elite, which does have merit, BUT, when I took an oath to defend the Constitution, it is the intent of heart that God will judge, not my inability to see through the smoke of subterfuge. I would like to leave you with a prayer I penned for a friend that died in Viet Nam ( a war I now feel was a war of the elite) but that does not lessen the honor of those who died on that field of battle.
A Soldier’s Prayer
O God, as I stand at the precipice of battle, I pray that your strength may infuse my very soul. May the fears that grip my sinew not deter me from my sacred duty. May the pains of training now be a soothing ointment to melt away my fears and allow me to function as one with my brothers-in-arms. Do not allow me to falter at the breech. Give me strength, O God, that I may support my brethren and with honor and valor move ever forward into the fry.
As for those that may die by my hand this day, I pray that it will not be with hatred that I return them to your bosom but with the knowledge that their blood does mingle with that of my brethren, as it soaks into this sacred soil, to water the seeds of peace, the peace for which all soldiers pray. May mankind soon honor all lives sacrificed on the alters of war and accept peace.
If I should fall this day, O God, I have but one prayer, may I be the last soldier to ever die on the field of battle.

Another place you might want to look is at Psalms 144. I call it the warrior’s psalm because it expresses so well what warriors desire.
Like you I have no worries for myself about the future because I believe that God will only put up with so much. We have beaten the fascists several times before, and we have beat the communists before. We will again.

I had similar thoughts / prayers at battle stations deep under water in a US submarine during the long cold war. And now my son does the same. Sometimes it seems to be a contradiction in faith / patriotism / personal survival that one would voluntarily go in harm’s way for others.
But without the countless servicemen / women who served with a dedication to others (that is enabled by faith in a risen Christ) we would not have had centuries of the best country ever.
May it never fail to be blessed by the heavenly Father. And I understand that God will / should withdraw his blessings when we collectively turn from Him and follow wicked ways. 2Cron 7:14

And how many have fallen in the defense of Liberty in the past 250 years? They’ve fallen the defense of Empire building, not Liberty.
Just for both sides of the issue, there’s another Soldier’s Prayer as well: “God, forgive me for tossing aside all your teachings so that I can blow away some of your children in order to follow a higher commandment of making some money for Big Banks, the Military Industrial Complex, and all those other Elitists folks General Butler and General Eisenhower warned us against. May those Generals RIP and forgive me as well.”
One thing I respect Jehovah’s Witnesses for is their more realistic, scripture-based view of war and empire builders.
And with all due respect, “when I took an oath to defend the Constitution, it is the intent of heart that God will judge” as a former Christian I hear you screaming at the top of your lungs that your oath to the Constitution is far more important than the oath you took as a Christian. If Christians followed the teachings in the Bible, there’d be no soldiers to act as cannon fodder. If the teaching’s of the Bible were more important than the teachings of the Constitution as they should be, Christians would gladly do prison time rather than obey the politicians who are threatening to throw them in jail if they don’t go marching off to kill other cannon fodder on the other side of the line.
I’d love to be there on Judgement Day when U.S. soldiers are trying to explain THAT one to God as if all God’s other children were just meaningless fleas.
You offer us tough love, StF. Fifty years ago, I was complicit in the march of Empire. Idealistic and oblivious. Responsible, nonetheless.

Even though politicians may waste and abuse the courage and lives of those who chose to serve their nation, those who serve honorably can hold their heads high, knowing that they did what they could to combat evil in their time and that they kept faith with their brothers (and sisters) in arms. Ultimately, God will judge our actions and our motivations.

Hey Lazer, you made some good comments about Empires but I wish you would have fleshed these out more as it applies to the U.S. today and the problems we’re facing.
IMO there were three big turning points that have led us to where we are today as far as the huge mess this country has become.
1. The adoption of the Constitution contrary to what all the anti-Federalists were saying. The Constitution was adopted anyway and every single reason they gave for not adopting it has come to pass with the lone exception being that a monarchy could arise. But with the idea of executive orders, we’re at least partially there. If We the People had had a vote for the adoption of the Constitution, it never would have passed. In the one state that did have a referendum, Rhode Island, 92% of the people said heck no. The Constitution starts out “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union…” so the U.S. was called The United States from day one. All Lincoln did was put the final nail in the coffin. The anti-Federalists wanted to remain a Confederation of States like they had been before the Constitution was adopted. They knew if they became The United States, state’s rights would slowly be taken away by a strong federal government and even worse, the Elites would start building an Empire for their own selfish benefit. No question that that has come to pass.
2. Once the Constitution was adopted, it paved the way for the U.S. to start becoming an empire. All empires end in disaster at some point and most would agree we’re on the slippery slope right now. Empire building is always so the Elites can become richer and more powerful, not so We the People can benefit. On the contrary, We the People only lose more of our liberties while gladly acting as cannon fodder to help pull off their conquests. The Elites have always ruled the planet, it’s nothing new, but the Constitution allowed American Elites to begin the process of empire building and eventually destroying everything we had gained in the Revolution. The anti-Federalists knew history better than most of us and they were against the Constitution knowing it would be used for Empire building by evil men. Can you even imagine where we’d be today had we followed Jefferson’s idea of “Peace and prosperity with all nations, entangling alliances with none”? It’s been working great for Switzerland for centuries and they are one of the freest and most prosperous nations in history.
3. The third big problem was not letting the people of the South have a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Had we remained a Confederation of Sates, the question never would have arisen in the first place, the rest of the country would have minded their own business and the War of Northern Aggression never could have happened. Approximately 2.25% of the American population died as a result of the Civil War so the rich could get richer and the Elites could retain control of the masses. Was it worth it? Not IMO. With a larger country and more taxpayers, the Elites could more quickly attain their goals.
IMO these are the three biggest reasons why the country is in the shape it is today. Had we remained a confederations of states (like the E.U.), there never could have been among other things, empire building, income taxation of the little guys, or our boys being used as cannon fodder all over the planet so the Elites could make money and become more powerful. I enjoy reading military history and have probably read more military history books than most military people have. It’s enlightening to read, good to learn, good to grieve with guys who acted heroically for their fellow soldiers and sailors, but that doesn’t change the fact that they were mere cannon fodder for the Elites. They never would have been except for empire building by the Elites, for the Elites, and damn the little guys if they don’t want to lay down their lives to help the Elites. When you discover that the military is solely for the Elites, it makes all the death and dying of our boys even more tragic.
For that reason I’m anti-military and always will be to my dying day, but that doesn’t mean I’m anti-cannon fodder: soldiers and sailors. They’re little guys and victims just like me. And I’m not anti-Vets just because I refuse to bow down to the propaganda of thanking them for their service in helping the Elites to make all our lives more miserable.

I’m so glad that I have been able to live in a constitutional republic, and no, a confederation had already shown that it was too weak for us to be able to work together.
As Doctor Franklin, one of those elitist who helped to write the Constitution said when asked what they had accomplished, “A republic, if you can keep it.” The question we face now and have faced throughout it’s existence is “Can we keep it.”
Yesterday someone challenged me asking “What was I doing about it?” I am voting and encouraging others to vote in EVERY election they are eligible to vote in. I am encouraging younger people than me to who believe as I do to run for office, from the mayor’s and city councils (commissions) up through state and federal office all the way to the presidency. I work in their campaigns when I need to.
As to the anti-federalists, they are just as important as the federalists and yes many of the things have come to pass that they predicted. All of these were wise people who had just come out of a vicious war to overthrow a tyrant! The Constitution: Every phrase in it is a compromise between people with different views, but they respected each other enough to listen and then find ways to work together. Every decision that has ever been made in this country have dissenters, and the Constitution put things in to protect both groups from each other. That is why the Constitution must be accepted the way it was written with the original words and their meanings left in place. But as Dr. Franklin said, (paraphrased) “It’s a republic, now it up to every generation to demand that we keep it. Failing to protect it for just one generation is to lose it forever.”
Hey Grey Mann, thanks for the comments. I think if Ben Franklin and Patrick Henry were alive today they’d be on opposite sides of the political spectrum just like today’s politicians.
One slight correction, on “many” of the things the anti-Federalist said coming to pass. I counted 25 in Patrick Henry’s most ardent speech of June 5, 1788 and all but one (concerning a monarchy) have come to pass.
One thing we don’t like to admit is that many of the Founding Fathers themselves were Elitists and many weren’t thinking about the needs of We the People as much as they were thinking about personal and Elitist things they considered more important than our Freedoms. As I mentioned, if it were left up to the people, the Constitution never would have passed if Rhode Island is any indication. Five of the states just barely passed it by slim margins, and as a group, all the delegates together couldn’t even reach a 2/3rds majority. If it’s true that the 2000 election was decided by 7 men, then it’s equally true to say that the decision to adopt the Constitution was made by 44 men.
Many of the Founding Fathers weren’t against elitism, they just wanted Great Britain out of the way so they themselves could be the top elitists here.
We’re all entitled to our opinions but to me it’s nonsensical when people gripe about the Constitution being corrupted when in fact everything they’re griping about were the same things the Anti-Federalists said would happen and therefore it wasn’t worthy of adoption. So the Constitution hasn’t been corrupted, politicians merely work though the loopholes the Constitution contains, including taxation, standing armies, and empire building. If anyone can show how Empire building is anything other than immoral and unchristian, I’d love to hear it so I can understand the other point of view.
If the “confederation had already shown that it was too weak for us to be able to work together,” as you mentioned, the events which have unfolded in the past 250 years are evidence, IMO, that it would have been far better to tweak the rules of the Confederacy than to toss it all out and adopt a central government that has proven to be way too large, based on corruption, and IMO, not in our best interest compared to having only to deal with our state governments.

Most empires last about 230 years, maybe it is our turn to decline, but I for one am not ready to concede that yet. As to the Constitution, it was an experiment that I believe has been more successful than any other social experiment.
By the way, the people who fought the revolution, established the Confederacy of states, and later the Constitution were the elites: George Washington was the richest man in America, the second richest died while in bankruptcy, but he believed in it, and the rest were the most prominent men of the time, both economically, politically, and educationally. Most of all, they were men who were willing to put everything on the line for what they believed in.
I didn’t like Donald Trump, but when it came to a choice between him and that amoral sociopath Hillary Clinton, who I had met once years ago, it was the lesser of two evils, just one more compromise in a history of compromises. Whether you like Trump or not (to me a typical loud mouth New Yorker, like Andrew Cuomo and Chuckie Schumer) he is the first President in my lifetime who stood and said, ” I will do X-Y-Z and then went to work and did X-Y-Z to the extent that he could. I still don’t like him, but I respect him, and he slowed our decline down at least momentarily. Now the people who elected him are being punished: Keystone closure wrecks the livelihoods of many ordinary Americans, and the threat to shut down travel to Florida. This is a vindictive bunch that we will be dealing with now. Most important: How good is their word on anything?

Pretty hard to make it thru any day, and not hear of, or have to contemplate the things currently wrong with our country. As we have had many challenges thru the years, one of my favorite songs I play often is “ragged old flag” by Johnny Cash. Every time, I remind myself that with all that is going on I have at my fingertips access to the latest tech, the best food, ease of mobility, the most toys, and the best freedom options compared to the rest of the world. In short, the USA is providing the best quality of life for the way we like to live. Does the USA have flaws in its history?-=ABSOLUTELY!==But, just for grin’s, I punched in a search for countries that have had no past problem’s. No involvement in war, no social unrest, no economic or unpopular political views.–All I came up with was a few deserted islands that were a little short of goods and services. The freedoms we enjoy certainly didn’t come cheap. Thru history the military fought on foreign ground for our allies. They helped liberate the nazi concentration camps. I guess you could eventually twist reason to say those things were done for the elite, but I believe most of the country believes these are the morally right things to do. I have come across no decendant related to those conflicts that resent the military. Our history is not perfect, it is what it is. It comes with all of its faults, frailties, messed up hair, barking dogs, and weird cousins. But I will always believe it is the best country in the world. Citizenship is not a prize, nor an entitlement. It is a responsibility. The fight against the elites isn’t anything new. That’s why we vote, that’s why we call our elected officials, that’s why we attend our community meetings. And we owe the freedom to have these rights in large part to our military, and to the founders of our country that had the wisdom, foresight, intestinal fortitude, and I believe divine inspiration to produce the constitution some 230 odd years ago. ( compared to some other countries, that might be some kind of record). S F, Detest the military if you must, that is your right.–I am thankful for a military that does a dam site more than cater to the elites. They haze soviet jets back to their side of the fence, they watch our radar, they contain terrorists ,—-and I thank them for their service.—O–‘Wait, my songs playing—-“Is this the first time you’ve been to our little town?”

Once a Marine, Thank you sir for that link. This and so many,many others are lessons in history that are so lacking in our education system. The constitution is a well written, well thought out document. But I believe our founders created much more than that document. They created the American spirit. That spirit is what makes the hair on your neck stand up when you hear the national anthem. That spirit is what makes us bristle when someone doesn’t remove their hat at the presentation of our flag. That spirit is what drives us to find our way, start a business, help our community, raise and care for our families, to excel in our efforts, and to support our nation and religious beliefs. That spirit is with the patriots who’s bodies kept the flag flying at Fort McHenry. All for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.—-There will always be challenges. Sometimes the shear volume of corruption, lies and outright deception can be a bit overwhelming. Especially when many that criticize this country seem to have no problem benefiting from it’s bountiful resources, safety, security, and quality of life. I am ex-pat, also a keen student of history, most patriots either gloss over, don’t read or understand the clever, subtle hidden cultic rituals, hidden in plain view in the currency, planning of streets, obelisks, and many, many other things in DC, the Constitution, refers in the first sentence to ” god “, I ask which god?, the great architect is also “god”, we know which god that is don’t we?, I have formed the view, two groups vied for power and influence in the new Republic, Masons and Believers who fled tyranny and centralized control, my view is, the occultists won, there has been a constant see-saw since that time, dark and light, including the eye of hours, a cut off pyramid in a new fledgling nation?, utter madness. These men were not uneducated, unlearned or ignorant of preceding history. I can find no excuse for this deliberate act of duplicity and deceit.
America WAS a great nation, once the light goes out on genuine freedom, and the rights born to every man die, every other nations light will also flicker and die. Especially those formed under the Commonwealth from Magna Carta.
Yes, the founders were elitists, after re-reading the anti-federalist papers, it struck me how right the documents were.
All leaders desire power, ultimate power corrupts to the heart of men, the Bible will always remind men of the darkness that awaits when men stray of God.

Being a Canadian, I don’t see my situation as much different from my American friends. If I may, I’d like to give my two cents. We have left behind our discerning by Christian principles, the choosing of our leaders, and valuing our one vote. And now the ship is too big to turn around.
With all the wicked opposition Trump received, it was a near impossibility that he should become President. But he did. Being late to the party, he had a lot to learn, but managed to do a lot of good for the country/world, in spite of having to deal with a lot of backstabbing brothers. He was a jerk sometimes, but had a treacherous road to travel. Where is there a righteous man to stand for America and Canada? And who, and how long will the people stand with him? Until Christ returns, we have a limited supply to choose from. For a time, humanity had a choke in the downward spiral. Credit due.
Our u.n. puppet needs to be replaced yesterday. I will continue to pray for our countries.

It is edifying to read the give and take of well-read, true Americans (with interesting commentary from outside our borders) in the foregoing discussion. I only wish that this phenomenon were more common in the rest of our society!
With regard to pros/cons of The Constitution, I believe most points above to be valid. “Hologram of Liberty”, by Kenneth Royce (a.k.a., Boston T. Party) advances a well-thought and reasoned attack on The Constitution, and really stimulates cognitive dissonance in an old man who has spent his life revering this document as our cornerstone of liberty.
After much thought and study, I have come to agree with Ben Franklin, who, late in the Constitutional Convention, urged the attendees to adopt this document by saying (and I paraphrase), “I would urge my colleagues to doubt a bit their own infallibility, and sign this document. I believe it is the best we can do, and may well be the best anyone can do.”
The Anti-Federalists were right – they foresaw abuses that the new constitution would allow. The Federalists were right – the new constitution severely limited the role of government to the support of individual Liberty. It is a balance, and to balance a safe, peaceful society against the liberty of individuals, in the face of the darker corners of our nature, is a DIFFICULT TASK!
As stated, I agree with Dr. Franklin: our Constitution may be the best ANYONE can do. Its failings over the years are not because of poor design. Pure and simple, We The People, have taken our eye off the ball for the last 200 years, and have allowed…and even DEMANDED…abuses of the Constitution. IMHO, had the American People held their elected officials accountable to their oaths, we would all be free(er), happy, and prosperous.
Perhaps the grand experiment in self-government has simply failed, because We The People didn’t hold up our end of the bargain. As is often said, “Freedom Isn’t Free” – I would add, it’s not effortless either!

Lots of comments about religion, churches and denominations. Gods word says salvation only comes from Jesus Christ, John 3:16 & 14:6. We must ask Jesus to forgive our sins and turn from them. The great deceiver satan is the one trying to destroy christianity and everything else. Satan doesn’t care what church you go to or if you live a moral life, he only cares about your relationship with Christ. Satan will do everything he to prevent you from accepting salvation through Jesus. Satan is the great deceiver, Christ is the great Redeemer.

As I read Part 4, I was amazed at how well it reflected the conversation that I had just had an hour before. The state of our country is at a crossroads, but it is at the crossroad every day. The decisions that we each make are a reflection of the true nature of our hearts, where our focus is, where our treasure is.
Is this country perfect? By no means, but that is because no country is, nor ever will be, because it is inhabited by man. Greedy, slothful, vengeful, in a word, imperfect!
I hate to say this, but we are all guilty of being the “elitist”. Do you consider yourself “better off” because you have things set aside for the SHTF day? Have you bought your “little” piece of earth? Think about investment portfolios, homes, provisions. We have all built our own “kingdoms”. Am I saying this is wrong? No. I believe God gives us foresight to prepare for the troubled times, the day when he will bring someone into our midst to help them in a time of need. We need to be sure of where our treasure is. In the products that we have or in the knowledge that we will be going to heaven for eternity in the presence of our God?
Our military stands to protect us against those that would overrun our borders with the intent to make us their “slave”. I, for one, thank every active service member or veteran for their service, not for the “service” that they give/have given, but for the sacrifices they have made. In most cases, our service members give up precious moments to stand between this nation and aggressors. The moments that they miss to make sure we aren’t invaded, I value for them. I have seen the young men and women that believe this country is something worth preserving, that this place is the BEST place on earth. And I am so grateful to them. I am humbled that they care enough to stand between “us” and “them”, that they will give up their lives so that a loved one can stay safe. Yes, I will always tell the young and old service member thank you and mean it!
As messed up as this country is, please tell me why people are dying, literally, to get here? Tell me, when was the last time you saw or heard of a caravan making its way to Switzerland, Britain, Russia, China, Myanmar (Burma), Columbia, Venezuela, Pakistan, Iran, North Korea, Zambia, or Zimbabwe? (that list could go on and on.) Now, granted, I have quit watching the news for the most part, but I sure don’t remember hearing anything close to the above scenarios.
Again, is the US perfect, no, but she is the best that is out there.
Educating our children about the good, the bad, and the ugly of their country is vital to ensure that the same mistakes are made over and over again. Unfortunately, for one generation of children, we didn’t ask enough questions around the dinner table to find out what was being taught. We are now suffering the repercussions of this shortsightedness. How do we come back from that? Pray.
Also, I regret that I didn’t hold my elected officials to their oaths, that I didn’t pay attention to the decisions that they were making. Amazing how you don’t notice how much you love someone until they are gone, the same can be said about our country.
The love of God has taught me to treat the “stranger” as myself. I pray my faith will be strong enough during the trials we face ahead. I pray not for myself alone, but for my brothers and sisters in Christ, the leaders of my community, city and state. I pray for the elected federal officials, including the President. But, more importantly, I pray for the lost.
If only I could be more like my Lord!

In brief, I believe this is the essential problem. The Constitution is nothing but a piece of paper in a museum if most people either have forgotten it, or actively hate it. Breitbart used to say Politics is downstream of culture.
Well, we have a country where millions have been killed through Abortion, about 35% of kids live in single parent households (either divorce or out of wedlock), we have widespread addiction to drugs and alcohol, 330 million people are lied to everyday by a few hundred people that control the news media, approximately half of the population receives some form of public subsidy. And on top of it all, we have a self serving Deep State and Elite class “managing” the decline as they enrich themselves and cozy up to our enemies.
In this context, I guess none of what we see should be a surprise.
