The Editors’ Quote of the Day:

“Real prosperity comes from everybody in the country working together in a growth mode. Real prosperity comes as a result of people’s own initiative and efforts and so forth. Prosperity, if it comes from the government, is not prosperity. It’s an existence or a subsistence or whatever, but it isn’t prosperity.” – Rush Limbaugh

  1. No fool for Rush’s BS.
“Prosperity” such as in rush’s definition, is exactly what has gotten us into this mess we’re in. Do you all think some loudmouth propaganda artist in a suit has the answers ?
Sorry to you BS artists like rush, but we’re shooting for “AUTONOMY” instead. No more global connection. No more civilization. No more radio. Ending your idea of progress is in the works. Restore nature instead. Destroy the tools of industry and of scientific research. Remove clowns like rush-a fool with a big pie hole. Pompous.

    1. Pay attention!

“Real prosperity comes from everybody in the country working together in a growth mode.”

This is not collectivism. I work toward my goals, you work toward yours. When we work together, you achieve your goals faster and so do I. You are still autonomous, and so am I. That being said, without mutual cooperation we both fail.

“Real prosperity comes as a result of people’s own initiative and efforts and so forth.”

This is so true. Your initiative is required for you to succeed. However, that does not mean you have to do everything by yourself. If you attempt absolute autonomy you are destined to fail. You cannot grow or raise everything you need to survive, neither can I. You may grow vegetables that I don’t. I may raise chickens for both meat and eggs, maybe you don’t. If we trade my meat and eggs for your vegetables, that is mutual cooperation. It is also the essence of capitalism, more correctly, free market capitalism. Capitalism is not a four-letter word.

“Prosperity, if it comes from the government, is not prosperity. It’s an existence (maybe) or a subsistence (barely) or whatever, but it isn’t prosperity.”

This describes the essence of socialism. The only people who prosper under socialism are those in the elitist ruling class. If you have paid any attention at all to the Democrappy debates, all you’ve heard is collectivism, elitism, and a diminishment of everyone who is not a part of the so-called ruling class. Their remedies for income inequality are not meant for Bernie or Pocahontas or Mayor Pete or especially that sleazebag Sleepy Joe, it’s meant for the rest of us. Income inequality is greater under socialism than it will ever be under actual capitalism. This has always been true, it always will be true. The main reason for the income inequality we do have is because of the excess of socialism that we already live under. The current income inequality is already built into the political system of the good old USSA.
