JWR’s Comments: That journalist ignores the significance of the fundamental shift that has been ongoing for more than a decade: Conservatives are voting with their feet in large numbers. The political shifts that will follow are inescapable. Red states are getting darker red, in part because of the influx of conservatives who are fleeing socialist Nanny States.

JWR’s Comments: The unspoken undercurrent here is that a large number of Democrats are switching parties or becoming non-party-affiliated because they are disgusted by the way that the Democrat party has overtly become so radically socialist and “woke.”
Moving to Red America
This was reported by City Journal, back in January: Moving to Red America. An excerpt:
“Among small states, Idaho saw the most net domestic migration as a percentage of its 2020 population (up 5.7 percent), followed by South Carolina (up 4.8 percent—and up 1.6 percent in the most recent 12 months alone, the highest of any state) and Montana (up 4.5 percent).”

New York City’s “Migrant” Crisis Worsens
A growing number of homeless migrants are sleeping on New York streets. JWR’s Comment: “By “migrants”, they are of course referring to illegal aliens.

SNC’s $13 Billion Doomsday Plane Contract
I belatedly heard that my former employer, Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) has been awarded a $13 Billion contract to develop a replacement for the E4-B “Doomsday Plane.” The Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) will certainly have to be a big, heavy jet with “long legs” and aerial refueling capability. I presume that the hands-on part of the contract work will be done at the Reno-Stead Airport (the former Stead Air Force Base, and also the former home of the Reno Air Races), where SNC already has a presence. Up until 2005, I was both a technical writer and a proposal writer for SNC. The SAOC contract award must have been quite a feather in the cap for one of my successors! – JWR
New EU Vaccine Passport Restrictions
Over at The Exposé: New EU vaccine passport is a move towards mandatory vaccinations and restrictions on freedoms and sovereignty. (A hat tip to D.S.V. for the link.) Jere is a pericope:
“The European Vaccination Card (“EVC”) is a digital or printed card that aims to consolidate all vaccination data for a person in one easily accessible location. It is a key tool introduced by the European Union’s EUVABECO project.
The EVC will store a person’s vaccination history, including dates, vaccine types and dosages. It will enable seamless transfer of vaccination records across countries, making it easier for people to travel and receive vaccinations while abroad. The card’s QR code will be validated by healthcare professionals, ensuring the accuracy and authenticity of the vaccination data.
The EVC will leverage the Global Digital Health Certification Network (“GDHCN”), a certification network managed by the World Health Organisation (“WHO”), to ensure the authenticity of digital vaccination records. This network was developed during the covid-19 pandemic for the EU Digital Covid Certificate and has since been expanded to support other digital health certificates.”
At The DNC: The Ultimate in Projection
From a speech at the DNC: “Donald Trump would be able to weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his political opponents! He could even turn the FBI into his own personal police force!” JWR’s Comment: The level of psychological projection in this speech was off the charts.
