The architecture of a crypto “mining rig” computer is just like a gaming PC. So this is just a silly publicity stunt. The authorities could have re-sold those computers on the open market, to help recoup some of the power company’s losses.

To reiterate, from this week’s Snippets column: Reader C.B. wrote to mention that the WSJ Housing Index just put Billings, Montana and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho as their #1 and 2 picks for housing destinations. JWR’s Comment: I am expecting a nationwide correction in house and land prices, but probably not until after interest rates bump up again. And when this does happen, I expect the biggest price drops in the major metropolitan regions.
