Preparedness Notes for Tuesday — January 5, 2021

This is the birthday of General Courtney Hodges (born 1887 – January 16, 1966). Kicked out of West Point for low math scores, he enlisted as a private but soon became a maverick officer and went on to a distinguished career.

Today is also the birthday of actor Robert Duvall (born 1931.) His roles in Open Range and Apocalypse Now are unforgettable.

And January 5th is the birthday of the late John Pugsley (born 1934, died April 8, 2011), libertarian and economics author. Pugsley was well known in preparedness circles as the author of The Alpha Strategy. (The book is out of print, but a PDF is available for free download.)

Our big rifle sale at Elk Creek Company ends at 5 PM Pacific Time tomorrow (Wednesday, January 6th, 2021.) Get your order in soon!

  3. Received a notice this morning to my inbox from prominent manufacture. Starts in the communist states and goes federal once enough of the USSA falls in line.

Body Armor Regulation Proposal to Start Off 2021
    What Is the Bill?
A new bill introduced to outlaw body armor in New York would make it illegal for civilians to purchase body armor and could find them guilty even if they have owned body armor for years. If the bill is passed, body armor owners would be required to turn in their life-saving gear at law enforcement agencies such as local or state police, FBI, or DEA. Failing to surrender their “body vests” within 15 days of the effective date of this new law could have severe repercussions.

    What Is the Penalty?
Breaking this new law would result in a class A misdemeanor. Repeat offenders could potentially earn themselves a class E felony, and depending on their circumstances, the penalty could consist of fines, probation, and even up to 4 years in prison.

    What Is Your Duty?
You must stop and reflect upon the truth. Body Armor is a Tool of Liberty. You are Free Men. Live as Free Men and oppose this asinine bill.

  4. I say ye, General Hodges. And Brig. General William R. Bond, U.S.A. Died on April 1, 1970 in the Republic of South Vietnam, stepping off a helicopter, to sniper fire. My Brigade Commander at the time, 199th Light Infantry Brigade, Light, Separate. I know, we got some hot stuff right now under our noses. I may be a bit old and brittle, but I still know how to get it on. Bring on the commies.
