Sure wish you had used another picture of Elmer, God Bless his soul, and I sure ain’t no prude, but I don’t care how many credentials a man has, gun safety is still of the utter most importance. I realize he is posing for a photo but a man should never put his finger inside the trigger guard until he is ready to shoot, even if he does have his thumb under the hammer as Elmer does. Just making this point so no one picks up this bad habit. Trekker Out
If you look closely at the picture I believe you can see and hear him say “If you don’t get that dadburned camera out of my face and find me some matches, I’m gonna use these pistols!”
If we are here reading this then it’s probably safe to say that we already know and practice gun safety. Lighten up a bit.
Bwhhhahaaaa, both fingers on the triggers in the pics!!!Take that, facebook!
I learned a lot from him and others in that time period. I’ve even told some of his stories to my kids and will to my grands too
Elmer was one of the big influences in my shooting life, along with Jeff Cooper. I still cast his Keith bullets for use in all of my revolvers. He was from a different time, and was a gun writer who could truly speak from extensive experience.
