The Editors’ Quote of the Day:

“Are we at last brought to such a humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our own defence? Where is the difference between having our arms in our own possession and under our own direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defence be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?” – Patrick Henry, speech on June 9, 1788

  1. Be very careful what you ask for. New Mexico welcomed Californians, and they came bringing with them the leftist values they had in California that ruined that state. Once liberal leftist get a foothold, it seems they multiply like rats and soon they have infested a good state and turned into the kind of pest hole they fled. It seems they are weaned on a communistic diet of follow the Judas goat into a nanny state mentality.

    1. The best solution is to educate as many as possible. Challenge the mainstream narrative, and agitate the ancient principles. Remember that the Bible is the weapon most feared by tyrants. It provides a higher law than the laws of man to which we may appeal. Our biggest danger is apathy, laziness, and cowardice, followed by rash, knee-jerk reactionism. If we all did as well as we know, the world would be a better place. But in order to do this, we must have access to a Higher power–divine grace.

      1. Your words ring true, cf. Divine grace guides us to the extent that we accept its guidance.

And what you say, “Our biggest danger is apathy, laziness, and cowardice, followed by rash, knee-jerk reactionism.”

That really stands out. In my community, we help each other listen to divine grace as we strive to be of service to our fellows. Thus we challenge our own each others’ apathy, laziness, and cowardice and confront our tendency toward knee-jerk reactionism.

        Carry on
