Happy birthday to actress Teri Garr (born 1944.) She was unforgettable in Young Frankenstein.

Teri Garr is a treasure. My favorite of her performances was of the mother in the boy in The Black Stallion with Hoyt Axton as the father. The movie is extraordinary and is often dismissed as a kids movie. The Black Stallion won an Academy Award for cinematography, the first half is magical, the second half is a bit Disney but first-rate Disney. Teri was wonderful in a very restrained and almost minor part. here is a great article on Teri and het fight to not let her MS get her down, it is very inspirational.
