  1. While I don’t condone the treatment of the Uighurs and others, China only exists as a nation as long as some one group, Han at the moment, control it and keep it from breaking into dozens of independent nations, USSR, Yugoslavia, the Ottoman empire, etc, come to mind, and as a “modern” nation in a very competitive world, it is difficult to see China peacefully descending into the chaos that would occur in the breakup.

  2. The Grand Solar Minimum articles are worth reading. Survivalblog readers should consider using Survivalblog’s >advertiser links, and buy a couple pairs of long underwear, plus a few pairs of sweat clothing. [NOT a big expense]
Look at the link >here on Survivalblog for Amazon. The Survivalblog link for Amazon provides a small amount of money to Survivalblog, for any purchase through the Survivalblog link.

It would be possible to save enough right now on the current heating bills, to offset the expense of warmer house-clothing. For most people, there’s no need for Mukluks and Snowshoes; just basic preps and some warm, extra house-clothing.

The Grand Solar Minimum predictions are worth reading. … Plus, read Wikipedia’s article about the ‘Gore effect’ and Al Gore’s predictions elsewhere. … Wikipedia for the ‘Al Gore effect’ = “The phenomenon that leads to unseasonably cold temperatures, driving rain, hail, or snow whenever Al Gore visits an area to discuss global warming”

The ‘big thinkers’ >want to limit the economic benefits of a modern economy for >most of the people; but of course, the ‘big thinkers’ and the ‘rich and powerful’ would ~>continue living with the modern products of human technology.
……. The wealthy and powerful, along with their minions, would live, in the castles with all the guns. = The commoners would live in (organic and natural) ‘mud and straw huts’ without any weapons.

About the withdraw of the USA military along the Syrian and Turkish border. How many politicians both Democrat and Republican want USA troops along the Syrian-Turkish border; yet will >NOT protect the borders here in the USA.
……. Congress can finance a big Wall along much of the border with Mexico, and allow the use of the USA military to patrol our borders with both Canada and Mexico. Plus, Congress could increase the money for a stronger Coast Guard too. [It would be a >net economic benefit for America to protect >our borders.]

It’s reasonable to believe, that inhibiting illegal drugs, criminals and illegal voters from entering the USA, would be a financial loss, for many USA politicians. Many USA politicians want border protection for Syria, but NOT for America.

  3. More Gun-Grabbing Grandstanding From Fauxcahontas

I’m getting tired of people calling these folks “Socialists.” They are NOT socialists, they are card carrying members of the “Communist” party.

Lets start using the correct term for their ideology. They believe that “they” the government (elitists) should be in control of every aspect of American life and culture…..that is not “Socialism”, that IS Communism.

    1. Amen DKL,
If it walks like a duck, sounds like a duck , well it must be a duck. They are communists pure and simple. The communists control the Democrat party and the Republican party is a gaggle of gutless idiots.
I pray the people wake up in time.

    2. Don’t discount the Republican neoconservatives also known as The Big Con, Conservatism Inc., or establishment Republicans.

One of the god fathers of the modern conservative (neoconservative) movement was Irving Kristol, father of the truly scummy Bill Kristol. Irving Kristol wrote a book I don’t know which one, where he describes his path to neo-conservatism, (paraphrased as I don’t have the direct quote) “I was a neo-Marxist, a neo-Trotskyist, a neo-Socialist, a neo-Liberal, now I’m a neo-conservative”. So the path to neo-conservatism is communism. Looking at all the neo-conservatives in and around the Republican party, there are a lot of communists in the Republican party. Further, if you notice, many in Conservatism Inc. are moving rapidly to the Democrat party, Max Boot and Bill Kristol just to name two.

If you want to look at elected Republicans who are part of The Big Con, Mitt Romney, Marco Rubio, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, and Pat Toomey. There are more in both houses of Congress. I would add Lindsey Graham, but he’s so schizophrenic you never know what he is going to do or say or what he is going to support. While we’re at it look at Paul Ryan and the changes that are happening at Fox News since he joined to the board of directors at Fox Corp.

If an impeachment vote is ever taken in the Senate, I think Trump survives, but it’s going to be very close. It takes 67 votes to impeach, I think you’ll see at least 60, if it get’s that far. We’ll see.

    3. “they believe that “they” the government (elitists) should be in control of every aspect of American life and culture…..that is not “Socialism”, that IS Communism.”

      No, that’s fascism.

  4. How’s that electrically powered oxygen generator working out for you? One death already.

There are the new civil war scenarios where they take down the grid to the deep blue areas.

The problem is they can’t even keep the grid up when it is NOT being actively attacked so we might not get the chance. Who needs explosives when a gentle tap will bring the rusty tower crashing to the ground. Or when a gust of wind does it. And there should be the same chaos.

Intermittent power, diseases like Typhus, lack of Sanitation, California has joined the 3rd world.

But there is a serious threat. They are moving out to our areas and trying to Californicate them.

  5. Re. License Plate Surveillance

1984 is here. Such is the fruit of the Republicans’ Patriot Act and NDAA. Yes, the enemy that we sleep with.

From Vigilant’s website: “Developed for law enforcement, by law enforcement”.

Follow the money and you’ll find fascism at its finest.

    1. This. My biggest complaint about “traditional” conservatives is their irrational worship of law enforcement and the military. The point where I usually diverge into being a libertarian.

  6. Grand Solar Minimum,

If been watching two YouTube channels, Honey Do Carpenter [HDC] & Dirtpatcheaven [DPH], where they are working on a more efficient and safer way of heating.

The object is low cost, 1/10th the Wood, and no Creosote, using Aircrete.

But, I don’t know enough about these kind of things, so I was wondering if any other readers had been following their work?

Are they heading in the right direction?

Back in the 1950s, my grandfather in TN, began building homes with no chimney.

He had lost so many friends and family to house fires and electricity was widely used, that it was desirable.

“If You Want to eliminate Creosote forever here are three concepts you can use to get started more safely burning wood.”

So, now we have all of these homes that are dependent on grid power and delivered fuels for heating.

This was in interesting concept from the HDC:

    Aircrete window chimney insert

Which would allow for emergency wood heat for a home not equipped with a chimney.

  7. The lawyers and the state of California thought it would be a great idea to sue PG&E for $100 billion after the last fire. It was a great idea for the lawyers but it left PG&E with no other option but to cut power when high winds threatened. Was this new foray in third world status for California an unintended consequence or an intended consequence? I ask this because we all know that the next step will be a multi-billion dollar tax on Californians to rescue them from this man made disaster. I suspect that the lobbyists and special interest are already crossing palms with silver in Sacramento to get a piece of this action. The trial lawyers and class action legislation are not your friends.

  8. Rather than put muslims in prison in China it seems to me the more logical approach would be to not let them in the country in the first place. I doubt that the Chinese government officials are worried about being seen as racist by not letting muslims enter.

    1. It’s not a matter of Muslims entering China.

China has invaded and occupied many previously independent areas such as Mongolia and Tibet. Another is Xinjiang, in far Western China, which historically has had a majority Muslim population. That’s where these Chinese concentration camps are.

  9. one of the leading companies for number plate recognition is a Australian company, as a ex pat I m ashamed of that, another Australian company has perfected cops having the ability to look in peoples care and long range and see if they are doing anything they consider illegal, ie, talking on their cell phone etc.
