  1. I would like to recommend Grateful American: A Journey from Self to Service by Gary Sinese. What an amazing story and his commitment to our military is incredible.

  2. Re. Fatal ‘Swatting’
And how did the trial of Darth SWAT turn out? He shot and killed an unarmed innocent man. Police will lie and their brothers-in-arms will cover for the murderers. Lethal force and SWAT teams are the new tools of choice now.

Today’s tyrannical militarized police are a much greater threat to liberty than punks like Tyler R. Barriss.

  3. Chilling. What does ‘untraceable’ mean? Untraceable firearms could include virtually every inexpensive gun produced before 1968. Many did not have serial numbers. It could possibly be construed to include most shotguns because there is no way to connect a particular gun to fired pellets. It might even include any firearm obtained by private purchase or before NICS because there is no paper trail.

    1. @Randy,

CA recently passed a similar law (effective Jul 1, 2018) requiring all firearms/guns to have serial numbers, including any home builds that originated as 80% lowers. There’s an exception for any guns manufactured prior to 1968 that didn’t come with serials applied at the factory (I have such a gun). Beginning last July, we now have to apply for an official serial number from the CADOJ **before** completing a lower (think of this for a moment…a person is required in advance to register an item that is legally – at both the state and federal levels – just a piece of metal and hasn’t even been touched yet). The catch-22 is that you’re now in the State’s database as having a firearm even if you never finish the lower. This is being challenged in court, I believe, because the State is forcing itself into your home and requiring you to do something to your property that may never leave your home, and is therefore none of their business.

In all my many years of shooting, building, etc., I have NEVER experienced any instance whereupon someone actually looked at any of my guns to view the serial number, other than the couple of times I’ve brought one in to my local gunsmith for major repairs that were beyond my pay grade. Out here, many of us simply use our serialized guns for daily carry or home defense readiness – basically anything that might one day be used in an event and end up in a police report – and take our “off the grid” items to the range or desert.

  4. Hackers, they are getting out of hand. It is time that the federal Government get seriously involved in their apprehension. I would suggest that penalties be ramped up to a draconian level and automatic so there can be no plea bargaining. Internationally there should be a world wide treaty that makes extradition easy, restitution should come from all involved. This is becoming a cancer on society and should be treated as such. Governments that participate in these activities should be put under extreme sanctions and members of these governments listed as personas non gratis by all members of the treaty. Any country not signing the treaty should be treated as harboring these criminals. The US should cease it’s activities of hacking when the treaty is ratified. The only good thing that has come out of this hacking is that it proves that a cashless society can not exist, no matter what guarantees are put in place your money can be eliminated in a heart beat.

    1. For my money, all hackers should be declared terrorists and a clear and present danger. Turn the military loose on them.

In the middle of one of those phishing calls you hear a noise like an air hose breaking, then a different voice ( male and clearly American) comes on the line and matter of factly says, “U.S.Marines, sir, he won’t be bothering you again.”
As the line goes dead you think “What A Country!!!” =-O 😉 😛

  5. Re: Email address hacking- unfortunately, one of my emails was hacked in this recent scam. Fortunately, hackers only got my nickname, possibly my “internet birthday”, and no other REAL information that I know of. My name on the internet, (actually one of my many names on the internet) is not, and has never been, my real name. My oldest internet account, over 20 years old, lists ‘Tiger’ as my first name, and my last name, also fake, is classified. (It is NOT Tanaka- LOL). On this account, I routinely refer to myself as one of two names just to be more confusing (not the name on the account). My family knows these names to be ME.
My internet birthday, although my correct birth month, has a ficticious birth DAY and YEAR. I use this as my birthday on all internet accounts that ask for a birth date. My girlfriend has similarly disguised her information on the internet, and although she uses her real name on one email account, the spelling of her name is intentionally incorrect, and she also uses an ‘internet birthday’.
Nothing is completely foolproof, but I hope these tips help you, and I would appreciate hearing about any tips YOU could provide me with. Thanks.

  6. Just want to alert everyone to this screaming bargain for an inverter, lightweight generator. I use one to run my freezer during short term power outages.

The flood devastation (above) was another good excuse to stock up on more wheat. I try to keep my flour frozen since it lasts forever that way, but took those bags out to make room for the grain, after I picked up another 100 pounds of wheat yesterday and put it into the 14 day freezer treatment routine I follow for human grain storage. The sales clerk asked what I was doing with all the wheat.

After I ‘cryo’ the grain, it goes into the covered storage tubs, then the flour goes back into the freezer.
