    1. Now if we can all just get enough signatures to repeal the NFA (the petition now has 300,000 signatures) we can be awash in 20mm vulcan miniguns. It might be a family effort to afford to feed one, but every township should have a few for the common defense

  1. America is awash in AR-15 rifles, I would like to see America awash with AR-10 rifles. I find a gun. over 1100.00, 1200.00, 1300.00 bucks to be out of the ballpark for the average Joe. Can a guy get a deal?..

        1. Not according to their website. Buy a complete lower and an upper, put them together. Slap on some sights or scope.

Or even better, buy a stripped lower and a lower build kit and assemble yourself, get an upper and assemble. Then get out there and enjoy Freedom.

          1. I’ve been very satisfied with my PSA products, both AR-15 and AR-10 varieties. They are readily available on their daily deals if you wait patiently. I got a 308 for Christmas for under $750.

          2. Was looking into PSA pistol kits in 300 BLK, but their site says the BCGs only come in full auto and semi-auto isn’t an option. Am I misunderstanding? How is everyone else getting PSA kits if they’re full auto? Can anyone clarify for me?

I’m about to get a kit (or two) and am currently looking at other manufacturers. Is PSA recommended for my non-NFA needs? 🙂

          3. @ Guesty McGuesterson,

The BGC is a full auto design, meaning that a FA BCG has less cuts and more metal in specific spots. These BCGs are rated for FA, but the lower, trigger and legality of a PSA AR is absolutely semi and not FA. If it was FA, it would have a much larger price tag, all sorts of regulation and wait times. Buy a PSA without worry. It is semi-auto.

  2. Completely agree that we’re currently in a ‘sweet spot’ timeframe regarding AR availability and pricing. I myself am looking into a couple of ARs, some extra lowers, and more mags this week. Prices are reasonably low and ammo is plentiful – for now. Stock up, because the political pendulum swings back and forth and is lurching further to the left in many states (such as here in CA). Those of you who live in ‘Free America’ should be on your guard as well, as nothing is guaranteed…look at what happened to Vermont (the original Constitutional Carry state) when their new governor was sworn in and they’ve begun to see attempts to take it away!

  3. My AR-10 was built up using Palmetto State Armory supplier … fantastic rifle, chambered in 7.62 NATO, under $900.00 with everything including match grade barrel and top flight trigger assy. Watch for their daily deals and you can’t go wrong. My AR4 in 5.56 is also PSA built under $500.00 ( several years ago) nice folks, fast shipping, quality products and helpful in build process.

  4. I discovered that AR10’s, like any farm critter, get very lonely without at least one of their kind for companionship to somehow encourage peak performance.

Best to go ahead and get a pair so this doesn’t happen to you all. PSA has pretty good deals, so I second the recommendation to check them out today.

i found a great deal for AR10Mags still on at Gun Mag Warehouse: 10 for $139. https://www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=ml&ti=567207&pw=237445&ctc=-

Remember, ratio of 10 per tool is appropriate.

    1. I don’t think you’ll find anything like that. There are a few companies that have made AR-type rifles with a longer-than-.308 action but they’re pretty specialized and expensive. The one I remember was chambered in .338 Lapua.
The BAR is the only common .30-06 semi-auto rifle that I can think of off the top of my head (and I use “common” loosely). I’m sure there are others but I don’t know of them. I believe there is a company or two that are building BAR pattern rifles but I think they’re pretty expensive.

    2. Noreen firearms in Montana makes a .3006 AR. I don’t have any experience with them, as I find my SCAR17 adequate. After that the .300 win mag takes over.

  5. I found that to be true a number of years ago. When looking for a Sig 7.62, my gun shop had an HK-MR762A1 but no Sig. Also had it’s little brother MR-556A1. Since I know how brothers just hate to be separated, of course I had to take em both. You know, so they could spend quality time with all their cousins, the bolt, lever, pump action clansmen. Remember, to many guns are one more than you already have and the best part, they last longer than shoes. Buy lots, we’re gonna need em… BLOAT…
For a great way to save for G&A consider doing away with one meal a day and saving that cost. Most of us it wouldn’t hurt a bit, we might be healthier for it and after 6 months you will be surprise how fast it adds up.

  6. By all means go out and buy an AR style rifle. But, unless you want your name on a gun registration list do not buy from a gun store!! Buy from a private citizen only. And pay cash!

    1. Better yet, get one of the easy to use jigs that take a common Home Depot router and make your own. No serial numbers in the event that you have to ditch it and it is found by unfriendlies.

  7. templedog I agree, by all means buy your AR from ME and yes bring plenty of cash and I don’t want to know who you are, so that when Big Brother comes calling I can say I sold it for cash and I have NO idea who he was. Trekker Out

  8. Thanks for a great review. I just picked up one of these about a month ago, and love it. Every time I open the gun safe, I just have to pick it up whether I’m going shooting or not. 🙂
