  1. For about twenty years, on the way up into the Mogollon Rim to hunt deer and elk, I passed a sign that pointed the way to Zane Grey Cabin. Each time I passed that sign I would say to myself “I really should go visit that cabin, and see how Zane Grey lived while writing his Westerns.”

    And of course, each time I passed on by. Eventually a wildfire burned the cabin, so I’ll never see it.

    A reminder we should take time to smell the roses.

  2. OK, I know it is picky but, as I understand it, Guy Fawkes was not actually executed. He was supposed to be executed by hanging BUT, on the way up the scaffold he fell off and broke his neck. So, he died on 31 Jan but was not technically executed.
