  1. The passing of Ontario’s Bill 89 just makes me wish for the end of the world as we know it to hurry up and get here so this politically driven nonsense will end. It appears to be stronger in Canada, but it is alive and well in the US. If I were an adherent to these types of made up philosophies I would look at history and live in fear of the pendulum effect that occurs on a regular and predictable basis when the masses cry enough is enough and demand blood.

    1. JOE:

I’m not real clear where you stand, since you cite the pendulum effect and history along with “these made up philosophies” as something to which you don’t adhere.

The pendulum effect is illustrated in the book:

PENDULUM How Past Generations Shape Our Present and Predict Our Future by Roy Williams and Michael Drew, 2012, Vanguard Press.

      https://www.amazon.com/Roy-H.-Williams/e/B001K7SWKC/ref=sr_tc_2_0?qid=1535469494&sr=1-2-ent

It puts forth historic evidence of the rhythmic, cyclic and predictable nature of human societies, giving a kind of “crystal ball” as to what’s coming based on what’s been.

Because it references so much history, the authors have created a pendulum swing continuum and shown the societies, time periods and effects along its extremes and mid points.

It’s not an easy read, but the book is well produced and gentle in its presentation of a complex subject.

Of course, all this has been said before….

“What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.
Is there anything of which one can say, ‘Look! This is something new’? It was here already, long ago; it was here before our time.
No one remembers the former generations, and even those yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow them.” —Ecclesiastes 1:9-11

  2. “Ontario has passed a totalitarian bill that allows the state to take kids from Christian homes that oppose the LGBTQI agenda as well as gender ideologies put forward by the state”

So, I assume they’ll be taking kids away from all the muslim parents as well?

  3. However, they determined that the search was “reasonable”.

Lawful without warrant upon writ of a sworn judge to a duly elected or appointed law enforcement officer conducting the search? A self sworn search by a Utility Company?

Ah yes, “reasonable in light of the “cost reductions and service improvements”…

And so we can expect a significant drop in our rates? Um, no. So we’ve lost our rights for the improved margins of the Utility company? Um, yes.

Goodbye America and all hail our new god of simplicity for our overlords for their expediency and convenience.

It won’t be long until the throttling of your power, for your own good, will begin. After all you will have to charge your EV, the one with the remote kill switch.

    1. “it won’t be long until the throttling of your power, for your own good, will begin.”

and your money. and your gasoline. and your water.

and … (ahem) … it will be for THEIR good ….

  4. RE: White gas shortage

If you have a good friend that works in a Natural gas production facility, he may have access to Natural gas “condensate” or what the old timers call “Drip gas”. It’s clean, clear and if there is not too much crude in it, will burn with a beautiful blue flame. Many a car and truck had nothing but drip in the tank all their lives.

  5. Couple things – first on drip gas from pipelines. It needs to be really, really clear, and even then it may be contaminated with PCBs if the pipeline equipment is old. That doesn’t show up to the naked eye and can kill your liver if you get exposed to too much from engine exhaust, so be careful. Second, re: Hunger Stones, you’re confusing climate change (which is just math, based on historical records) with the question of human origin. You can’t really argue that the climate is changing. If you want to argue about whether humans are to blame, more power to you, but you need to come up with something that correlates better than increased greenhouse gases.

    1. Reasons To Believe, a Christian evangelical group that focuses on science, did a story on human-generated climate change that still has me howling with laughter.

Ice ages are generated and timed by the Milankovich cycles, which describe the cyclical change in the earth’s orbit around the sun from nearly circular to elliptical; and the cyclical change in the angle of the earth as it rotates around the sun. This is currently about 23 degrees, and varies from about 21 to 24 degrees, if I remember correctly.

The rounder the orbit, and the lower the angle, the less difference there is between summer and winter. Thus winters are warmer and wetter, producing more snow, and summers cooler, melting less snow. Thus Ice Ages begin, and continue.

The inter-glacial periods (we are in one) are typically very brief, with sharply rising temperatures forming a steep peak, and then rapidly falling again.

According to the Milankovich cycles, the latest Ice Age should have begun five thousand years ago. Five thousand years ago!!!

Instead of sharply peaking, as is normal, the current interglacial shows a small, gentle downward slope, with a slightly zigzag pattern.

So what happened? Why isn’t most of the earth under a mile of ice right now? What happened five thousand years ago that was different?

The worldwide spread of carbon dioxide producing agriculture, and the widespread keeping of farm animals, which do indeed expel large quantities of methane. That’s what happened.

I am now a devout believer in man made global warming, and intend to produce as much carbon dioxide and methane as I possibly can. Where I live was under two miles of ice.

I can’t stop laughing. Man made global warming has nothing to do with modern industry; it has to do with ancient agriculture. Man made global warming is true. And wonderful! Eat more beans. Buy a cow.

Do check the Reasons to Believe website, if you are at all interested in Scripture and science. Or if you know someone who has lost their faith because they “believe in science.”

They are very good, and willing to admit when they are wrong.

  6. “allows the state to take kids from Christian homes that oppose the LGBTQI agenda as well as gender ideologies put forward by the state”

so. will the citizens rebel now?

  7. At what point do we draw a line in the sand and say if anyone crosses this line this is the consequence? There are so many things happening here in the USA that I never thought I would see and I’m only 56. We make post on an online forums and that makes all the wrongs in this world not our problem, like that is all we have to do.
Joe wrote ‘The passing of Ontario’s Bill 89 just makes me wish for the end of the world as we know it to hurry up and get here so this politically driven nonsense will end ‘. Really, death of millions, hardship on the rest, so the people we elect won’t affect our lives in such a dramatic way? Well there are easier ways but we have become to lazy or lost our spine to make these changes without the end of the world happening. Are we putting the same effort into TEOTWAWKI not happening or are we so focused on prepping that we are not seeing or not willing to work just as hard as preventing TEOTWAWKI.
This is my first post on this forum and probably will be my last. I am not one to writes things down. My kids have heard all their lives,” Words are cheap action cost”. Yes words are a part of our actions sometimes, but a small part. Yes I am as prepared to the best of my ability for just about anything that could happen. But I also try my best to prevent and PRAY I will never need the things I have set aside. I really don’t care if someone thinks I’m weird for stocking up i don’t care, If someone thinks I’m wrong for not going alone with the PC Bull Sh** I don’t care. gman says ““allows the state to take kids from Christian homes that oppose the LGBTQI agenda as well as gender ideologies put forward by the state”
so. will the citizens rebel now? Let them come for mine and it won’t be pretty.
All of the Major and Minor Prophets of the Old Testament preached a way of preventing the Jews from going into the bondage of slavery. Sadly Israel didn’t listen. Are we as Christians passing judgement? Saying we already know people are not going to listen? We are going down the shitter and are we are just dizzy from going around and around that we do see the handle to grab to keep from going down the drain?
I came up on hard times, my Dad died 2 weeks before I was 6 years old. I know what its like to eat beans and taters and cornbread 6 days a week because with a Mom that didn’t even have a 2nd grade education did the best she could for the 4 kids that she had to feed. I don’t want to go back there but I know I can if forced to.

    1. Hi Sir.

I have read your heartfelt comment and appreciate it.
I do have children if and when a government comes for my children because they are Christian, I adhere to God, Family, Country in that order.
I pray my preparations will suffice.

I happen to live in Canada. Many of those in my church group are active in opposing any infringement on our Christian Beliefs.

There is a ever growing Silent Majority that is becoming more aware of “The boot in the face, forever” and have the God given strength to stand up.

I hope you continue writing and making people prepared. It is my first as well. and I feel I must, and will continue on in my actions; that may assist other Christian Preppers. I hope you feel the same,

      Clint Ekert

    2. “let them come for mine and ….”

and what about everyone else? can’t succeed alone.

we’ve been retreating for decades. every single time those who want our children have advanced against us, we’ve retreated. white flight, urban abandonment, like hezekiah seeking “peace in my time”. we’ve ceded it all to them – the executive and legislative branches, the courts, the police, the civic infrastructure, our once-great cities, our once-peaceful parks, everything. and now, we are to oppose them when they “come for me and mine”? what’s left to fight for, “death is better than slavery”? is that the only time and place we will defend ourselves?

    1. Those farmers are vastly out numbered… they need to get out while they can… they will be killed either sooner or later… sooner if they don’t disarm, later if they do.

Shows why you need to stay away from lists, permits, licenses, registration, etc.
      Build 80%… build expedient… print 3-D… bury, cache… etc

My newest favorite book: “Expedient Homemade Firearms – The 9mm Submachine Gun” by P.A. Luty (a brit, the poor guy died in prison after the authorities discovered his working prototype)
…it’s available as a .pdf file from many sites… try “archive (dot) org”

Everybody needs to download a copy of this .pdf before the nanny state decides it’s a “threat to national security” as I heard a radio news reader twerp describe Cody Wilson’s CAD files today.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry…

  8. Regarding the Whom To Leave Behind assignment: Note that the rules of the assignment state everyone must come to a consensus; in other words, if you disagree, you must end up agreeing with the majority, regardless of what a few individuals believe differently. This is all in agreement with the districts goals, as stated in the following link:

    https://fox8.com/2018/08/27/controversial-middle-school-assignment-aligned-with-the-goals-of-the-district-superintendent-says/

The article also says the assignment came from a resource guide, but the confusing word choices, misspelled word “move” (instead of “movie”), and lack of commas in the instructions, which should have been placed for added clarity if the wording wasn’t changed, show that even the resources used by the school (if a teacher did not retype this) shows the dumbing down of our culture.

Again, I agree with Survivalblog; get your children out of government schools. Keeping them there not only harms your children, but shows support for this nonsense.

      1. I don’t believe we can “recapture” the public school, as it will not be allowed by the left. I would be interested in hearing your plan on recapture, though. I do have a degree to teach in public schools, but I have been busy being a mom and homeschool teacher since I graduated, both to my children and to numerous other homeschoolers in a homeschool co-op setting.

Some people say, “start the change by getting on the school board.” Do you realize how many people do ANY research at all about whom they elect for the school board? Furthermore, the amount of money that the school receives from state and federal sources is likely a major reason why so many state counties have public education as one of the top 5 employers. One school board member who wants to do the right thing has a monumental, if not impossible, task ahead of him/her.

        1. “I would be interested in hearing your plan”

start local. get several interested parties together, run together, focusing on funding from people who want to see their school systems restored and on campaigning in churches and civic organizations with similar interests. be like trump, loudly say what you believe and what the other side is doing to everyone’s children and what you are going to do differently.
