Last of The Breed was one of my favorites a real survivalist book. I enjoy L’Amour’s books and I have almost all of them. Do not miss out on his “The Walking Drum”. A book completely out of his genre but full of historical references and quite interesting to read.
His autobiography, Education of a Wondering Man is outstanding, and has its share of “survival” tidbits. He did a lot of amazing and challenging jobs in his life before making writing a full-time career.
