  1. Still think you should include a section on Cryptos. Not saying everyone goes all in but if people dipped a toe in several months to years ago would of had substantially higher returns than anything else. I still hold gold and silver but that’s been stagnant for years. At least make it a topic of conversation and help educate those who know nothing about it or curious.

    1. My skepticism on “Cryptos” is extremely high. If you’re into high risk investments, and have disposable income to throw at them, these are certainly on the list.

But… as a prepper, my investment philosophy remains very conservative. I will not invest in the tulip mania of the 21st century.

JWR, you can, if you choose, bring “Cryptos” into your public analysis and reporting, but it is not useful investment information to me. It is, however, an indicator for trends. Right now, that indication is a large red flag. YMMV

  2. The markets are a contrived and manipulated set of indexes. Brokers and such are making a killing off the naïve and ingenuous youthful investors who do not have the memory to recall or perceive the con job pyramid scheme. They have been handing out money that is capital gains for nothing since the 2008 collapse and fake recovery. FOOLS GOLD

  3. Excuse my ignorance of most things financial; my only mantra is this: God made gold and silver. He made it a basis for the security of His chosen people, and it was a biblical principle written into our founders. Therefore I invest in gold and silver that is in my hands, not some market scheme or vault thousands of miles away. Not because it has great wealth building potential, though it does, but because God looked at all HE made and said it was good. So who am I to argue with God? I pay Him His 10% ( and then some) … and buy my 10% in gold and silver. If perchance the Lord blesses us and I don’t have to use the savings, then that’s fine maybe I can teach my children and pass it on. If not, then I’m certain God will reward our faithfulness.

  4. Thank you for adding that comment about wildflowers! Someone went around our little rural town sewing larkspur about 6 years ago. They are now out-competing the forbes and some native grasses, but are poisonous to the deer. The deer depend on these during the dry weather. Their movement patterns have changed and we are not seeing as many fawns.
