Desert eagle 1911 c stainless what is your opinion

Took my magnum research 1911 to the range yesterday, ran about 4 magazines through, then it turned fully automatic on me? It’s not supposed to do that. One trigger pull and it would empty the whole magazine? Info and suggestions guy?
