Two bits of follow-up news on the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy: Tempers Flare in N.J. City Where Thousands Stranded. (People out of food after just two days of isolation? (I told you so…) And yes, there is looting: Jersey City on total lockdown from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. after rash of store break-ins, officials say. (Note that the mayor of Jersey City is Jerramiah Healy, one of Mayor Bloomberg’s Cabal of Illegal Mayors.)

Don in Oregon notes” “Too bad the writer knows so little about firearms, though: ‘Customers with small handguns that are easy to conceal have been buying larger weapons, with longer barrels that hold additional rounds, as they prepare to wear their guns unconcealed.'” [JWR Adds: I’m hoping that was just a poorly-worded sentence, or perhaps the reporter somehow visualized handguns as all tubular magazine fed, like a Mare’s Leg. ]
