  1. After living in Alaska and enduring earthquakes, hard winters and understanding how tenuous politically the world is, we know we could be stranded. Our family has supplies for about 6 months, and if we assumed we might be alone longer, maybe stretch it for close to a year, but we would suffer doing it. I am not a big TEOTWAWKI prepper, but I know enough to not take things for granted. This is a great article, and packed with common sense.
