Here in The Un-named Western State (TUWS), the same situation would have resulted only in a lively debate amongst the kids about the best brands for utility versus skinning, and folder versus fixed blade, and then perhaps liner lock versus others–with several being brought out of pockets and sheaths, for comparison. If you live in one of the liberal Nanny States, then my advice is simple: vote with your feet.
