Political Divide is Straining Friendships and Families
Reader Tim J. forwarded this: Family and Friendship Face New Strains Amid America’s Growing Political Divide. JWR’s Comments: Note that this article was published by the editors of the left-wing Yahoo. It was obvious that they tried to give the article a “blame it on Trump” spin. The current divide in America was precipitated by a multigenerational campaign by those in mass media and academia with a radical socialist agenda. The growing backlash by conservative traditionalists is understandable. Sadly, the boiling point will probably be seen in much more than stern looks or shouting matches across dinner tables. It is not difficult to imagine America’s political divide further degenerating to resemble that in Spain in the 1930s.

The Public Ownership Myth
Gary Galles, at Mises Wire: A Cliché of Socialism: Under Public Ownership, We the People Own it!
A key quote:
“Public ownership and government control are synonymous terms—two ways of expressing an identical concept.
The popular notion is that a resource or service is the possession of we, the people, when it is under government ownership and dispensation, and that we, the people, are objects of exploitation when resources are under private ownership and willing exchange. Socialism—public ownership—will continue to expand as long as this notion dominates.”
