Pocatello: Zoo Idaho opens April 5th.  From the press release:

“Zoo Idaho is back for the 2025 season, showcasing our amazing native species. The zoo will be open weekends in April and weekdays starting May 1.

Zoo Idaho is an indigenous zoo exhibiting only native species found within the Intermountain West. The majority of animals at the zoo were brought in through the help of Idaho Fish and Game and various agencies and organizations. Wyoming

Wyoming rodeo rider dies in Texas. The article begins:

“A Wyoming pro rodeo bull rider died Thursday night while riding in an event in southeast Texas.

In a social media post, the University of Wyoming Rodeo team said they are “heartbroken in learning of the passing of former student-athlete Dylan Grant, who tragically lost his life in a bull riding accident in Texas.”

It happened at Wharton County Youth Fair Extreme Bulls event, near Houston. Grant was injured in the second round at the Wharton County event after being bucked off by a bull in the arena.

“Medics rushed him into an ambulance where they began working to stabilize him. He was then taken by helicopter to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, where he passed away,” The Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) posted on its website.

The 24-year-old Pavillion, Wyoming man graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2023, earning his degree in Physical Education Teacher Education.”
