This weekly column features news stories and event announcements from around the American Redoubt region. (Idaho, Montana, eastern Oregon, eastern Washington, and Wyoming.) Much of the region is also more commonly known as The Inland Northwest. We also mention companies of interest to preppers and survivalists that are located in the American Redoubt region. Today, we focus on Idaho State Rep. Heather Scott. (See the Idaho section.)
Idaho
Over at Redoubt News, video from Rep. Heather Scott: Idaho Voter Integrity. Her introductory note:
“In a day and age of ever-increasing societal moral rot, it is certainly possible and highly likely that voter fraud occurred in the last election cycle. While the national debate on forensic audits and voter integrity continues to make the headlines, many are searching for answers and solutions from government to address problems and discrepancies in our election system.”

Former Missoula real estate agent sentenced to jail for part in U.S. Capitol Riot. The article begins:
“Boyd Allen Camper, formerly from the Missoula area, was sentenced to 60 days in prison for his action during the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly handed down her ruling Friday which also included Camper paying $500 in restitution and serving 60 hours of community service.
Camper signed a plea agreement in August admitting to parading, demonstrating, or picketing in Capitol buildings. The crime is a class B misdemeanor.
By entering a guilty plea for the parading/demonstrating charge, prosecutors agreed to drop the charges of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; knowingly engaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct in restricted building or grounds; engaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct on the capitol buildings or grounds.”

Bear cubs burned in Chelan wildfire can’t stop hugging each other. Here is a quote:
“A pair of bear cubs were reunited after they had been separated while they recovered from the 25 Mile wildfire that burned in Chelan County this summer.
The cubs were brought to PAWS Wildlife Center in Lynnwood on Aug. 23 and Aug. 26.
PAWS says a couple with a wildlife camera on their property saw the cubs struggling to walk.
Both suffered severe burns on their paws and legs. They were housed separately as they healed from their trauma and injuries.
Staff at PAWS say once the cubs were reunited they could not stop hugging each other.
They are now rehabilitating together in an enclosure and are preparing for hibernation.”
